Bought these as I have heard they help certain birds build their nests as well as hummingbirds. Well let me tell you, the birds I have in my yard use it. My Yorkie wants to eat it, she barks at it and barks at me because i won't let her have it, so I have to hide it from her.The hummingbirds use it as well. I have more hummingbirds at my feeder this year, and I'm thinking is because they know the stuff is there to use for building their nests. Definitely will be buying again next year

Reasonable quality and nice stuffing for the birds.
These are a bit lightweight, but each comes with a string to hang, and I added some hair clippings and lint from the dryer. I plan to hang them in three different places and also add some crushed clean eggshells to the bird feeder to help with the calcium requirements for the birds laying eggs. The stuffing is cotton fiber. Hummingbirds also use lichens to build their nests, we will add some lichens to the balls. Hoping they come and use the nesting materials.

Clever idea; however, birds totally ignored it.
Didn’t serve the purpose it was designed for - at least not in my yard. But it is cute.

Birds loves these
Put these out in my trees in the spring for the birds to grab filling for their nests and boy did they ever use them had to refill a few times. Took them down now as nesting season is over but will use again next spring n

What a thrill to see the birds coming day after day pulling little bits of nesting material from our fluff balls. We have not had to refill it yet, so that is good. Thank you for making these available.

Plenty of roving (fluff)
The media could not be loaded. I noticed that folks complain that there isn’t enough roving or it’s hard for the birds to get to it. You need to make it more accessible for them. I used a knitting needle and pulled the roving loose and tugged it out in all sides. This is more than adequate for all sorts of birds. Hummers, finches towhees and nuthatches will be delighted. They are nesting now!
