I am a electronics technician with over 20 years experience. Installation instructions were easy enough to follow and enough videos out there to make this a pretty simple job. The screen I received, I believe is not working correctly. After installation - the very center is not reading any touch. I did remove again and checked all connections - they seem to be clean and well secured. Having dead area's on the screen makes this unusable. I contacted the company via email as they suggested and after 2 days - no reply. I will change this review, once or if I receive notification from seller. I would caution purchasing this product. **Update 5/30/2022- Seller is very quick to respond! Bonus there. They seem to be working with me. I will continue to update as things progress. I did try their suggestion - did not work yet. Last correspondence was: Hello, the problem is caused by the cable of the screen. You need to stick the cable to the screen glass tightly. Otherwise the sharp edge of the ipad will cut the cable. Please try to stick the cable firmly to the glass again,and realign the connector. It can solve this issue,if failed,please tell us,we wont let you waste money,just dont worry. ***Update - Their response through Amazon was amazing. They ended up refunding me - I purchased another screen from them with the refund - installed with no further issues. I have another iPad 6th gen to repair with a damaged screen - I definitely will be purchasing from this vendor again! Quick tips - Make sure you get all of the broken glass. Make sure you remove the adhesive backer on the cables and stick them to the glass as shown in the videos. Wear gloves to prevent finger prints on the LCD. and back of the touch screen LCD is difficult to clean.

Great replacement digitizer for my 11th gen iPad. Dropped it and cracked it and needed a replacement and repaired it myself. Went great! 100% recommend.

This is not my first time repairing an iPad, so the lack of instruction was no problem for me, it is very easy to install, and the hardest part of any ipad screen repair will always be the removal of the old screen (especially if it is shattered, if shattered be sure to install a sticky screen protector to the shattered screen and heat it very well to insure adhesion). Be sure to use lots of isopropyl alcohol to clean the inner border of the frame where the adhesive mates the screen to the frame, or your new screen will not stick or lay flat. There are four screws that hold the LCD display in place (one in each corner, two under factory tape) once unfastened, lift the LCD and remove the three screws that hold down the plate attached to the plug connecting the LCD to the board. Beneath this there are the three additional ribbon cables which need to be removed (two for the digitizer that clip in and one for the home button wich needs to have a lever flipped up to be removed). Next do your cleaning of the frame. Apply new adhesive to the frame. Plug the ribbon cables back in where the old ones were removed, be sure the home button ribbon is pushed in as far as the previous one and that the white line is parallel to the clip that holds it in place, be sure the other two ribbons make a tactile "click" when going into place. Ensure you removed the protective tape from the edge of the new ribbon cable where the digitizer cables come out, as well as the blue border tape and the interior screen protector. Next, reinstall the LCD screen, first the three tiny screws to hold the cable in place, then the four corner screws. This is followed by installation of the glass itself. Start by using the plastic flat blade to ensure the edge of the digitizer ribbon seats into the groove in the frame and then slowly and deliberately push the screen back tight to that side of the frame, seating it tightly and working your way around the edges until the entire glass sits flush in its chamfer. If you mess this up, gently work the plastic blade under to lift the glass and work it into place again. Once the glass is properly positioned and sitting flat in place, turn on the iPad and be sure everything is in working order. If everything works well, use your heat gun (A hair dryer on its highest-rated heat setting can work, it just takes longer) to get the edge of the screen and the frame up to a high enough temperature that the adhesive will start to melt, now using a cotton glove or a piece of paper towel press firmly and rub along the edges where the adhesive was applied to ensure it makes a solid bond. Congratulations, instead of throwing something away, you fixed it.

Do not buy. After the proper installation that took many time. The new screen broke down in two days. Find something better quality. This is cheap and useful.

The screen is exactly what you would expect. The tools that come with the kit are wonderful and exactly what you need. The instructions are great for the first half of the process and then for the second half they get very rough and sporadic. It was hard to figure out the wires and how to install the new screen from the instructions, so I had to watch a YouTube video just to make sure that I was installing everything exactly where it was supposed to be (the wires broke when removing the old screen, so I couldn’t just plug and chug using the old wires to go off of). Unfortunately the new screen had a crack that wasn’t visible until I had it on the black of the iPad and didn’t see it until I was already in the process of replacing the new screen after removing the old screen. At that point I had no choice but to continue with replacing the screen since the old one was even more damaged in the removal process. I contacted the seller, who requested a video and order number in order to replace the screen. We are currently in the process of waiting to see if a replacement screen is sent. The seller has been gracious and easy to work with so far, so fingers crossed a new screen comes and is easy to replace the second time. *update: the seller did mail out a new replacement screen. Haven’t replaced it just yet, but all appears to be good!

I paid a fair price for what I got, and it did the job. Everything (except instructions) was as advertised. While this was my first glass replacement, I am not exactly a novice. If you are a novice, read my review and then go find a better option. If you are experienced, you may find this is right for you. Everything in the kit was great, and exceeded my expectations with two very notable, and one minor, exceptions. On the minor side, it was nice having all the cables, buttons, camera bracket in place on the glass. However, they were not secured, not completely folded as needed, and no supplies for sealing them in place. The directions were complete, if not easy to understand, for taking the glass off. The details could have been made more clear. The bigger issue is that the directions only covered disassembly, and the only part of the assembly mentioned was the need to swap buttons to maintain an existing touch id button. The reassembly process requires an order of assembly and there are a few easy to mess up areas where directions would have been helpful. The adhesive included is a very poor choice. It was very difficult to get complete coverage, and avoid making a big mess. A moment of inattention, and I ended up with glue on my LCD. it was easily cleaned up by some alcohol wipes I had handy. Other kits have cut 2 sided tape, and I think that would be better for most users. The tool set was complete, and theoretically could do the job. I could not remove the glass with the included tools. If it were a pristine glass being removed, the tool set would be fine. With shattered glass, I needed a metal spludger. Some of those jobs could have been done with the included exacto knife, but not safely. Whatever you choose to buy, please spend $15 and get a screen protector and a cheap plastic case. I have never broken a screen, and if my father in law had taken my advice, he would not have broken a screen either. And I would not be writing this review... Decent kit, could be better, did the job. Not a bad purchase.

Work just like the original, and customer service is very helpful! Accidentally ripped one of my connectors and they had a new unit out for the next day. Highly recommend this product

Screen was relatively easy to replace. Unfortunately, I broke the screen on my first try. One of the small metal bits didn’t align properly. I contacted the company on the guarantee card and they offered a new screen. Due to a mix up, the replacement screen was not delivered and instead, they refunded the money. I purchased another screen. The second install is successful. I am very happy with the new screen and with my experience with the company.
