I will keep this as short as possible because I really have no negative thoughts about this mattress. It was delivered one day early than expected and was set up that night. Ok, so the box was delivered to me in bad shape. It looked like it survived a hit and run, so I was nervous about opening it. But the mattress inside was sealed like a cocoon and unharmed. It is a 2 person effort to lift and unwrap, so don’t try to do it alone! I suggest you don’t open the box anywhere but where the mattress will be set on. It takes about 5-10 minutes to take the saran wrapping off. Be sure you position the mattress the way it will go and stay out of its way cause it literally busted out like the hulk! Mine was 11 inches right after the vacuum seal was removed. 12in on day 2 and 13in on day 3. No wrinkles or lumps, just beautiful. Mine had very little odor and it dissipated in like an hour, but wasn’t noxious at all. I have asthma and am super sensitive to strong chemicals smells. I was fine and slept on it that night. The mattress is a good medium firmness, and I love it! I used to wake up with lower back and hip pain. I slept like a baby and my hip and back are beginning to feel less painful already. I love my hybrid mattress and couldn’t be happier with my purchase!!

I bought my first Zinus mattress in 2016 here on Amazon and still have it till this day. Almost 10 years later. So it’s no surprise that I had to come back for another when it was time to upgrade. My entire home has the Zinus experience and we just love these mattresses. The firmness never ceases to amaze me, and unlike other brands, I’ve never experienced uncomfortable sinking or that awkward bounce, you get just the right balance of spring and support. I can still have my tray of water or wine on one side (when it’s empty) and encounter zero spillage from my movements. Even after years of use, there’s no noise or creaking. Heat level has also been great; it doesn’t trap warmth the way some foam mattresses do, so sleeping stays comfortable year-round. I guess all of this proves Zinus packs in the right functionality to make it the ideal mattress, durable, reliable, and consistently comfortable

I've been looking for a nicely priced hybrid mattress that's on the firmer side for a while now and I came across this one after I saw a video review of the person not sinking into the mattress. I was skeptical about buying a mattress in a box let alone online because I've never done either before, but the mattress was very clean, comfortable (had to test it out lol), and expanded well upon initial cutting of the outer casing and after cutting the other layers it expanded to 11 inches immediately. I'm waiting to see if I'll get the other 2 inches over the next 3 days. I've seen other reviews stating that theirs did not get to 13in which is not necessarily a deal breaker for me as I'm primarily concerned about comfort and durability, but I will give it 72 hours in a warm room as they recommend and I will give an update. Update: The mattress did not inflate to 13 inches, (more like 12) but I'm sleeping wonderfully, so I'm satisfied.

Me and the hubs love this mattress...it came very quickly (2 days after we ordered) 8am in the morning. Had no trouble getting it unboxed, enjoyed the directions so much...perfect for my hubs. We had so things to do that Saturday so once we got it on top of our box springs we headed out for the day. When we returned 5 hours later the mattress looked perfect, we put sheets, blankets and pillows on it. It had filled out completely no bumps or sags...it looked very inviting. So a few hours later we were finally ready to try our new mattress out...it is firmer than I expected which is not a bad thing. I have some major nerve pain issues due to a former tumor on my spine. Laying down is never comfortable for me so I wasn't expecting much. My hubs twists and turns and has 6 pillows he uses to prop himself up with in various ways. The first night was different, I slept, I woke at 5am to take meds and realized that was the first time I had waken all night...the hubs said he slept great, but he always says that and can sleep anyplace. Thought I'd give it some time, so here we are a month later...I am definitely sleeping better, and waking up feeling rested. I actually get comfortable at night. Hubs is down to using 2 pillows, he says the firmer mattress gives more support and he doesn't need the pillows now. We are very pleased. By the way, hubs is a big guy 6'4, 350lbs, before when he roll over I knew it, now I don't even notice. It's very nice, we are very pleased. I wasn't sure about a mattress that came in a box but it's wonderful. We are going to purchase another for our son. We love it, definitely recommend it to anyone.

I bought this mattress during the Prime Day event and I am so happy I did. I have been in need of a replacement mattress for years so keep in mind, I was coming from a place of sleep misery. I would wake up several times through the night, reposition and desperately try to fall back asleep. My lower back almost always hurt and I hated life. Unfortunately for me, I had to wait a little longer for my platform frame to be delivered. FINALLY, I got to set my new best friend up and I am so happy. I had the best night's sleep. I had spent the previous day moving all of my furniture and purging my mini-hoard. To say I was sore was an understatement, everything hurt by the time I was done. One long, hot shower and one long night's sleep in this beauty had me feeling like a teenager again!!! The set up was a breeze. I opened the box and it was wrapped in a butt ton of celepahne. Once I freed the mattress she started to immediately shape despite being vacuum sealed. I accidentally laid it upsidedown when I got it on my platform. It is heavy so the flipover was a little rough, you need 2 people, but it was almost immediately ready for me to hop in. I almost got box springs but I am so glad I didn't; it would have been a wasted expense and I would have ended up needing a ladder to get into bed. I love the height, love the quality and LOVE THE SLEEP!!!!!!

Took a gamble based on the varied reviews but the gamble was a mistake. Anyone that reviewed this mattress and could say anything positive about it must have been sleeping on the dirt previous. This mattress sucks! Flat out the worst. Unless I guess if you would like to sleep on a box spring with a bad yoga mat on top of it because that is essentially this mattress. I have been in a mattress hunt and trial and error for about a year now. I have back pains and have tried a ton of different mattresses out. All of which I’ve sent back because they suck. Here are all the mattresses to 100% avoid, at least that I have tried. Novosbed mattress, sucks! Casper mattress, sucks! Purple mattress, sucks! Therapudic mattress topper I bought on here has been a life saver but also is only temporary fix, and still sucks. But this zinus…the absolute worst thing I’ve ever tried, and beyond sucks. READ THIS: if you are reading reviews to try to decide on this mattress and are looking for real advise on this mattress, AVOID this mattress! For comparison, My wife is tiny 5’2” 100lbs and I am 6’3” 180lbs. Literally cannot sleep on this piece of wood they call a mattress. When we got it and opened it there were/are creases in the top layer foam (cheap foam anyway). Those creases, we called them “ribs”, are here to stay. F this mattress. Amazon was literally the best customer service however. Upon a 5 min call they gave us a full refund and Instructed us to donate the POS mattress anywhere we choose. Great job Amazon. On to buy the sleep number and be done with it! Avoid Zinus!

I am tired of buying expensive overrated mattresses in an attempt to reduce my pain. I have disabling neck and back pain. We let this mattress set up for 30 hours before sleeping on it. The mattress is very firm but after sleeping on it for one night I was able to walk better the next day. Also, I noticed my body pain was less with this mattress and I feel less point pressure while trying to fall asleep. It was nice not to toss and turn and get up multiple times the first night, if you want a firm mattress, at a low cost, I recommend this mattress. I plan to buy a 2nd one for our guest room.

I had it for 6 years. Lasted about 4.5 years before it started to sag in the middle. It’s still comfy on both sides of the sag but you end up rolling in the hole and wake up with shoulder, neck and back pain. Had to replace the mattress which I loved for 4.5 years before this happened.
