Got this installed on my 2020 Tesla Model 3 currently at 9,000 miles. We have a-lot of polen and run my car thru the carwash so I replace my cabin air filters often since they get nasty quicker. Installation is very straightforward, but NOT easy but we are not reviewing the ridiculous location and design of the Model 3 cabin air filter. I installed this after cleaning my evaporator with Kool-It definitely worth it. The cabin filter was disgusting even at 9,000 miles. Tesla OEM filter is definitely of good quality compared to my other cars OEM. This filter is definitely of high quality, I really like the attention to detail and quality in material definitely not a downgrade from Tesla OEM. Sizing is a but tighter than OEM but is all good you dont wait air escaping thru the edges. I had my wife come inti my car after I was done installing, she was my “control” in this experiment. She loved the smell the car smell new. The next day my smell senses were back to normal. The car smells amazing not scented, but clean. I will definitely use this product routinely going forward I highly recommend you use the Kool-it evaporator cleaner definitely makes a huge difference along with this product. Theres tons of videos take only a few minutes to do. Difficulty/Warning: definitely straight forward you wont mess it up, but not easy for those with limited mobility, taller or health issues. Im an athletic 6’0 190 lbs and i was cussing Elon for sticking that little screw for the cabin cap so high and hard to see in an awkward location. Inserting the filter will also be difficult make sure it sits flat and aligned correctly. Do NOT use with external add-on small filter by the windshield wiper, the air restriction will be too much. I removed it and air flow is normal now. It might be tempting to the small external filter but you’ll damage the ac by overworking it. This does not affect the review of this product since this product is definitely worth it.

I have a Tesla Model 3, and these filters are absolutely the best! When I changed out the filters for the first time, I was taking out the original Tesla filters and putting these in. The difference was night and day—the original Tesla filters felt cheap, low quality, and they had no ability to absorb that weird smell that air conditioners in cars can get when you first turn them on. But these have the carbon pellets and high quality filtering, so after A YEAR of having these in my car, I have never, even through two hot Southern California summers, had that weird smell upon turning on the air conditioning. They also fit perfectly well in the slots, seal the system well, and get rid of dust, so that the interior of the car stays cleaner when the air conditioning or heating is on. They are well priced, and a good value. Highly recommended.

Bought my 2022 Model 3 with 13k miles. Noticed the stink smell as I drove it off the lot. Shame on you Tesla for selling me a relatively new car with horrible first impressions. Was just going to have Tesla fix the issue but the smell was unbearable. Ordered these with the HVAC cleaning spray- now it smells amazing and just like a newer car should. Will be using these every annual filter change from now on. Installation isn't difficult if you're a tech/former tech. If you're a newbie- pop the kick panel, drop the glovebox panel, disconnect the speaker, the light and just dont drop the screw. I removed the older filters, reinstalled the filter access cover, sprayed half the HVAC cleaner down the intake(frunk area) with the AC running full blast(WINDOWS DOWN!!!) for 5-10 mins. Then removed the filter access cover and sprayed all over the AC evaporator(its blind so do your best to get it all over). Reinstalled filter access cover and ran the AC for 5-10 more mins(no filters). Removed filter access cover, installed these new filters and reassembled the rest of the car. Ahhhhh the peace of mind of not breathing in mold. Amen.

The air filter fits well and seems to improve airflow and freshness inside the car. Installation was fairly easy, and overall quality is good. I gave 4 stars because I expected slightly better performance, but it still does the job well!

Fairly easy to install and works great. We installed a set 3 yrs ago and I noticed a funky smell so I ordered a new set and it has the tools in the kit so I don't have to look for my old tools that I saved somewhere. The smell is gone and back to a fresh smelling car.

My Model 3 Tesla is now 4 years old so this is the 2nd time I've replaced the filters based on Tesla's recommendation to change every 2 years. Last time I used OEM filters and when I pulled them out this year they were very dirty and it was definitely time for new ones so I'm sure some bad air was passing into the cabin. These new XTechnor filters are much higher quality than OEM filters and the kit comes with nice pry bar and screw bit. I'm not noticing any difference in air flow in the car and the cabin air is nice and fresh. My only concern will be when it is time to replace them 2 years from now how easily they will come out as the foam around them does make a nice tight seal so all air goes through the filters but will it them harder to remove in the future. Side note the Design Engineer at Tesla who decided to put the filter door cover screw at the top of the bracket instead of the bottom of the bracket where you can see it should be fired. All the labor time changing these filters is trying to put that tiny screw back in place that is hard to reach and you can barely see the hole.

You know the saying… you get what you pay for. I recently bought some cheap tesla cabin filters for $15 and thought it’d be fine. But nope! Within a little over a month it started to smell like sweat/feet. Extremely disappointed. Fast forward another week and I decide to pull the trigger and get these $50 filters. I read somewhere online these were the recommended filters to go with for teslas and so far, so good. The main thing I noticed that will make a huge difference is the foam lining as opposed to the cloth lining of other cheap filters that breed mold and mildew. This just won’t happen with the foam material. Add that along with it being a “HEPA” filter and I’m sold. We’ll find out if it’s actually lasting, but I can definitely say the bad smell is gone (and yes I cleaned the coils with ac cleaner both times), so it clearly was the filter.

There seems to be a design flaw with the Tesla Model 3 and the location of the evaporator distance between the filters that cause the system to smell like moldy sweats socks have been shoved in your ac. After reading how some folks resolved the smell and what they did to help stop it from returning, I found the XTechnor HEPA filters. I had read that some folks stated that installing any type of HEPA carbon filter was causing undo strain on the ac or that air flow output was lower, so I was concerned that might truly be the case when installing these... So far it hasn't been the case. Everything seems to be working as it should and more importantly, smelling better. Especially when you pair this with Kool-it evaporator cleaner. Hopefully, the smell will stay away until these need to be replaced. Install time took about 15-20 minutes for the filter but when cleaning the evaporator, it's take about an hour. After I installed it I can smell every exhaust from the cars in front of me . Never been the case with the original (non-hepa) filters.

I bought my Tesla Model about two years ago. I noticed the pretty bad smell as soon as the events were running or the air conditioner was running. I figured it was probably time to change the air filters however I thought this was a little bit premature. None the less this is what they look like please see the photo. I took out the brand new filters from X tech-noir and it feels like they are fairly good quality. I found the instructions to be easier on line on a YouTube video. But overall he was very easy to install and I like the fact that there is a carbon filter as well so it should avoid smells in the future. He certainly feel like top quality parts. In fact I would say they are better than the original Tesla filters.
