Hitler's Ovens
I read this book when I was in 9th grade English class and now I have four children and am a grandmother. I have never gotten over reading this book and realizing it was a true story of man's inhumanity to man. I thought it was the most horrifying thing that I had ever read. It was a gruesome lesson in history. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in World War II books or the Holocaust. It hurt my soul deeply to realize that people could do this to one another. It was mesmerizing and mind numbing. It is now out of print and very hard to find, but I want to purchase it for my son-in-law who is interested in anything to do with WWII.Hitler's Ovens

Pages crumbled while trying to read
Indicated that pages were yellowed when I ordered. That would have been OK. However, pages crumbled and turned to dust while trying to read. This I did not expect. Very disappointed

Learn from History
I had a history teacher in high school that read one chapter & it stayed with me. I can’t forget the horror that was done.still can’t describe that chapter but I know it, can’t make myself say it aloud

I found and read this book when I was in ...
I found and read this book when I was in the 6th grade and have NEVER forgotten it. The title of the book I read was Hitler's Ovens but evidently is was also published under "I survived Hitler's Ovens" and "Five Chimneys" I have found the Five Chimneys version is still available at Amazon.com for those interested.

Profound
I also read this book in 9th grade and its changed my life forever. The power of its truth can not be explained unless you have read it, then, you would understand ... I just got up from my bed in the middle of the night because my mind recalled its essence to me. I need to have this book to give to others and maybe Amazon would have it? I when to Amazon and they say it is out of stock ...I wil try again!

I also read this book in 9th grade. I have been looking for a copy but they are apparently out. It made an impression on me that I've never forgotten.
