The Babies and Kitties Book

I bought this for the toddler boy I nanny for. He has cerebral palsy and so processing is difficult for him. He is non verbal in the traditional sense but he lights up at this book. I noticed he loved looking at real babies on his diaper box or his yogurt but he didn’t have any books that weren’t illustrated. He also has two cats at home. This book is a total win. I was a little nervous to see his reaction to two babies crying in the book thinking it may upset him but he was just fine. I think incorporating more real world pictures is helping him with meeting new kids his ages and new people in general and understanding more around him. I’m so glad it’s a new favorite for him!

A favorite in our house!

My toddler is constantly handing me this book to read to him. He loves the photographs of the kittens and babies. He’ll even sit down and look at the pictures on his own.So if you’re in the fence about this book, get it. It’s worth it.

My daughter loves this book. The pictures of REAL kitties and babies make it more fun to look at (I think). Either way it's bar far one of her favs.

This was a gift. The board book has real children and animals which many babies are fascinated with.

Baby loves this book and he generally is attached to book with real photos. This is perfeCt for baby to practice point and animal sounds. You can ask baby to point out where the cat is, where the bubble is, and make sounds of bubbles pop, cats meow, baby cries... So many language learning opportunity.

Received this item in my kids subscription box. Honestly, I was disappointed that I did not see the offers to choose from and this was an automatic choice. However, as soon as we got it or little one loved it, and continues to go back to it as a favorite a year later. It helps that we have cats. It is very cute, great pictures. Only a few lines of text, but with with a decent rhyme scheme. Made well and can withstand toddler hands (and teeth).

This is my daughter’s favorite book. She loves to kiss the babies and kitties as we read it. This is one book that she is always exited to read. We also have The Babies and Doggies book, which she also loves.She has enjoyed both of these books since she was around 6 months old, and she is now 16 months old. She just loves them more and more as she gets older.

A mi hija de 1 añito le encanta el libro, las imágenes reales son sencillas y tremendamente atractivas. El texto en inglés es muy sencillo y tiene buen ritmo y melodía al leerlo, lo que también resulta atractivo para los peques. Sin duda lo recomendaría, incluso nos ha gustado más que el de doggies (porque el texto en este no resulta tan rítmico y melódico).

I bought this book after someone gifted us 'The Babies and Doggies' book by the same author. Our 9-month-old son loved the doggies book so much I was hoping there was a kitties book too as we have cats (and not a dog, ha!). This book also became a fast favourite. Love the photography of real kids and cats and rhyming, poem-like text. This is a book I don't mind reading again and again as a parent. Pages are on good thick, sturdy board with a durable gloss finish. (Not flimsy like some board books out there.) Recommend and will gift this to other cat owners who have babies!

My baby adores this book. If he can see it anywhere in the room he immediately crawls over to look at it. It's great for reading to him or keeping him occupied quietly for a few minutes.

Buying this for the second time for another cat lady mom to be. Its a hit. So cute!!
