I am not a strong swimmer and can't tread water to save my life, so figured I would try Develoo Inflatable Swim Belt instead of my usual snorkel belt. I am ~160 pounds and had no issues staying afloat in open deep water. You can wear on your back or front. I think front is best. It is easy to blow up and deflate, and packets flat in luggage. I know it is not supposed to fit around your entire waist, but even with the straps, it was a tight fit. My waist is 33" and the strap barely looped back. I wound up just tying then together after looping. Some more room would have made me more comfortable. I suggest if your waist is over 30 inches to maybe look for something else with more room. However, belt is sturdy, good thick material life snorkel/life vest material, and keeps you from drowning.

I am a non swimmer. This is NOT a life jacket and should not be used as one, but it helps me keep afloat in the water. I am about 135 pounds and wear it with confidence. For comparison, it’s takes about two (2) dollar store noodles or the skinny ones from Walmart to keep me afloat in the water. I am not sure about the maximum weight it will support. I like how I can inflate and deflate easily and not have to lug around two noodles. Hope this helps.

Not good for swimming laps as it does not go all around waist ( I have medium size waist. Size 10 women in pants). It rides up. In Vietnam, swimming belts go around waist and are common. This one is not very useful send customer service ignores you.

It left red scratches under my daughter's arm. It did keep her above water she is about 60 lbs
