Hot Racing NSG18M1 18t Steel Mod 1 Pinion Gear 5mm

ALL GOOD for me. I used this in my Traxxas Xmaxx 8s with the Hot Racing 54t mod1 spur. Set mesh manually.

Xmaxx gear holds up great on 8s

Put it on the first time with blue loctite I let it dry for 24 hours it immediately come off the first run on 6s. I thot ok I didnt tighten it enough bc i didnt want to strip the grub screws..so I loctite it again and tighten both grub screws so hard my Alan slipped...another 24 hours i almost got a full run and it come off again...third time luckily i was able to still move the grubs I use stainless steel grubs. I put red loctite on both tightened until my Alan slipped several times...threw a torx bit in and tightened more. Gave it 29 hours to dry. Not only did it come off within 10 minutes but it took 4 teeth with it. My GDS spur is a trooper tho!!! Bottom line dont buy!!!!!

Grub screws too long and won’t tighten flush on 5mm shaft. Backed out and then sheared a tooth off the “hardened” pinion. Screws also rounded out. Just get the Tekno the first time and save your money.

While the spur gears are great the pinion is pretty soft. Ive sheered off 2 in as many moneys

Both broke within 5 min of use. Gear lash set correctly. Will not be using again
