Works great!
This thing starts up my 350z v6 engine. Works great holds the charge for a very long time, well worth the money. Great for emergency use. Super easy to use. Very compact so you can keep in the trunk of your vehicle.

Everyone needs this in their car!
I live alone on a lake in the middle of nowhere. Came out there day to a dead battery and ordered this guy! The NOCO Boost GB20 has been one of the most useful automotive gadgets I’ve added to my car kit. This little jump starter packs a surprising punch — it easily starts my 12V vehicles with engines up to 4.0L gas without hesitation. What I love most is how compact and portable it is; it fits in a glove box or backpack, so it’s always ready without taking up much space. Setup is super simple: just connect the clamps, and the LED indicator lets you know you’re good to go. The UltraSafe technology gives extra peace of mind because it’s spark‑proof and reverse‑polarity protected, so even if you clip the clamps wrong (we’ve all been there), it won’t hurt the battery or device. Beyond jump starting, the built‑in USB port doubles as a power bank for phones and gadgets — perfect for emergency charging on the go. Battery life stays strong between uses, and the GB20 recharges quickly so it’s ready when you need it. If you want a dependable, easy‑to‑use jump starter that’s more powerful and safer than a traditional roadside pack, this one is absolutely worth it! Absolutely a great value and gets your car going quickly!

Definitely Recommend! So Easy to Use. No More Car-to-Car Jump-Starting Nightmares!
Two of our car batteries died within a month of each other, and what was a nightmare trying to jump-start the first car with another vehicle turned into such a pleasant experience with the second one. This device is a lifesaver! It’s incredibly easy to use, and honestly, I feel like I could do it on my own next time without asking my husband for help. That gives me a lot of peace of mind. We were expecting the worst because we had to unlock the car with the key the day before while trying to figure out why it wouldn’t unlock with the remote. I guess that set off the alarm and caused the lights to keep blinking, even after we set the lights to the “off” position. We figured the battery would be completely drained by the next day, when we could take it to the mechanic to replace the battery. But today we connected the device, let it sit for about two minutes (just in case), and the car started immediately! When I brought the device back home, it was pretty drained and showed only one bar, but I’ll recharge it and keep it ready. It also has a very cool light and works as a power bank for devices. I’m buying another one as a Christmas gift for my sister!

Compact, Powerful & Easy to Use
Excellent size and very convenient when you need it most. It’s compact enough to store almost anywhere in the car without taking up space. Easy to use, easy to keep clean, and feels well-made and reliable. Being able to charge your phone in an emergency is another great bonus. A practical tool that gives you extra peace of mind on the road.

Compact jump pack
Longevity remains to be seen as I've only had this about a week, but so far its been stellar. My FJR1300 was having some battery issues so I wanted something compact and durable I could keep in the panniers. Picked this up, and it's been working great. Charged quickly and easily, started up my bike multiple times without needing a recharge, and just feels well made. The flashlight has also been useful, and its nice to have the flashing if I ever get stranded roadside. The only two minor gripes I have that bump it to 4 is that the carry bag really needs a drawstring toggle to keep it closed, a few times the jump pack had slid out in transit, and secondly though the flashlight is very useful I wish it didnt look like headlights 100yds away, from 10yds away. Especially as a biker, I dont want to give the impression that I'm both a car and way further away than I really am if I'm using the light on the roadside. If neither of those bother you, then I'd recommend it. I also had reached out to NOCO about some of their other products and they were responsive and helpful, so it's good to know there's actual company backing behind the product, its not just repackaged dropshipped garbage.

I carry the GB40 in my V6 car and it starts it in 10-20 degree weather fine. I carry a GB70 in the V8 truck ...
GB20's, GB40's & GB70's. The 20 is rated for V6s and smaller and the 70 is meant for V8s. However when I first got a GB20 (400amp) I unhooked the battery on my dodge 4.7 V8 and it started it on the 2nd or 3rd crank. But realize it was 65 degrees and the truck starts without issues. I carry the GB20 in my V6 car and it starts it in 10-20 degree weather fine. I carry a GB70 in the V8 truck and it started it repeatedly this winter under 20 degrees when a radio short was draining the battery every day. I started it 4-5 times before charging again. I wouldn't test the 20 times they say in the manual. So a GB40 "can" start a small V8 in the right conditions. I considered it a test that it would start a V6 well. But if you have a V8 or big inline 6 I would suggest getting a GB40 or GB70. I carry the GB70 because when starting in the cold overkill is nice and the GB40s were out of stock when I was ordering for the truck. As to using NOCOs or other lithium ion jump packs you have to use a little thinking. These are small lithium-ion batteries having to give off short burst of high amperage output so they are presumably charging capacitors to give the burst output. NOCO says the Boost mode with all the anti-spark and polarity protection on works when the battery is over 2-3 volts. It's cute technology if your afraid of jumper cables, but I think it is why people often say these don't work. I would say the protected boost mode quits detecting a starting circuit when the battery is only down a few volts. But if you just hold the exclamation point "!" button down for 3 seconds you hear it click, it turns off the safety circuits and you have a live 12V battery/capacitor hooked to your car. I have started a V6 and 4.7 V8 repeatedly with a GB40 and GB70 respectively. Now the other thing you have to realize is this is only good for short bursts. If your vehicle is having other issues besides the battery and has to crank a lot, this is not going to work for you. They cannot sustaian high amperage output like a lead acid battery. If it doesn't start after a few seconds of cranking stop and let the batteries "soak" for a 30 seconds or more. Doing this I have started the V8 in the cold in no more than 3-4 tries. You would not be able to start a diesel tractor or something that has to crank a lot. That being said they are light, clean, hold charge for a long time, can be left in the car plugged into usb to be ready whenever you need them. They have separate in and out USB and 12 power ports so they cannot drain backward through the charging cord if left plugged into the car and you battery drains. And of course can charge your phone. For the money and what they are I really like them. You just actually have to read the instructions on the override mode. If its not supplying voltage that is almost always the issue. The only thing is I think they should explain the override mode a little clearer and maybe label it as "step 2" on the booster if you don't get anything to happen without it.

Product is great
These products are always fairly expensive, but they are worth the purchase. It is a lot better than using jumper, cables, and a lot safer. It is also easier, not having to rely on another vehicle and they work as they should as far as jumping a vehicle and also charge his phones and electronics.

Great product, own a few, would like an option for longer cables
I have bought three of the GB20 devices over the last seven years or so. All have been helpful, usually for other people and occasionally for myself. One a friend borrowed and lost. The other two continue to serve well. While I recharge the devices once a quarter, they still have plenty of charge before I do. I would buy another, but in my Alfa Romeo 164 the positive post and the ground point are too far apart for the supplied cables to reach. There is no option for longer cables.

Purchased for personal use but ended up using it for work, never thought it would be as good at it actually is. outstanding little jump pack small and compact light weight Been using it for 18 days approximately jump starting various sized batteries ranging from 420 amp up to 760 amp no problems at all. Have to charge after approx 5 jump starts highly recommended for the price.

Fantastic bit of kit
Fantastic bit of kit. Got it for a quad and ride on lawnmower that have dodgy batteries that don't charge too good. Works perfectly.
