I was searching for a simple, straightforward means of amplifying my phone so that I could listen to podcasts, audio books and other audio files while taking a shower. Notice I did not say music. Yes, this product does amplify the sound coming from my phone just like the manufacturer says it will. If I play music, I can hear it nicely while taking a shower. But that was not my intention for buying this product. Much to my disappointment, the audio files where people are speaking are still not loud enough to overcome the sound of running water. I can hear the person talking but many words are lost. I have the phone volume turned up as high as it will go. I even placed the device with the phone in it on a shelf that is even with the top of the shower door. Better, but not great. I have used the device in other rooms of my home and it does very well. So, as long as you are not trying to overcome the sound of running water, this product is every bit of the 4 stars that I have given it.

I really enjoy listening to music from my phone through the LoudBasstard. I have tried a couple of other products similar to this one and this is the best one, especially for the price. It is lightweight and I can take it from my home office to the kitchen to anywhere in the house with ease. The sound amplification quality is excellent, especially when the music is loud. When you have it at a low volume, there is a slightly "hollow" sound, but I rarely listen to music at low volume plus this is an amplifier. Overall a great product, definitely recommend!

Neat-o. Looks great, weighs nothing, works fine. It's not a speaker, so don't expect great sound. It does, however, amplify the sound coming out of your phone, reducing tinniness and increasing bass and overall sound quality. Not meant for large rooms or any great distance between you and it, I've used it in my small bedroom while I puttered and it was nice. I ordered this for my brother-in-law for a Christmas gift. I read a previous review that the item was cracked so I made sure to check the speaker. Sure enough this is cracked. This product is not usable if it is cracked right down the middle. It kind of defeats the purpose. I can't really give this as a gift either. I will be returning this item.

Doesn't quite fit my Samsung. I put it in the slot on top so not really noticing any difference in sound. But it does make a nice cell phone holder.

While I already knew I liked the product, I have to report another disappointment of broken product.

The amplifier was exactly as pictured it's such a pretty color. I love that it's made out of bamboo it's great for outdoors the sound is crisp and clear and the amplifier is a good thick bamboo so it won't break. I bought this for my husband and he thought it was awesome really simple but really unique.

For a "speaker" that doesn't use any power, the sound is great. I've tried a couple of these and this is the only one that can fit a iPhone with a battery case. All the other one you had to remove the case, pain in the Battery.
