This is the only pan you need!
This pan is AWESOME! It was exactly what I was looking for. I needed a pan that is non toxic but still non stick. So I tried the stainless steel, that was too hard to clean. I tried the carbon steel, seasoning it and maintaining it was too much work. Then I finally found this green pan Valencia pro and it is perfect. It's heavy enough to be a sturdy well made high quality pan. The non stick is great. I can make eggs with no mess. The bottom is well made and thick enough that it does not warp. I wish I had found this sooner. This is now my favourite pan for everyday use. I highly recommend it.

Love these pans.
I love Greenpan skillets, I now have two. I have the 8” skillet and was so pleased with it I ordered the 10”. The non-stick coating is one of the best I have used. No nasty teflon here. While I presume, over time, the surface is capable of scratching if you use metal utensils, we are very careful to always use coated spatulas or spoons and hand wash. The fact that these skillets contain no harmful chemicals is a huge selling feature and for the price, I find them to be just as durable and well made as skillets 2-3 times the price. I also like the way the skillet is made. The sides are neither too slanted nor too vertical. It makes flipping an egg or a sandwich easy without having to navigate high, straight, sides. The pan is well balanced in the hand and easy to lift, unlike cast iron or enameled cookware. Note: DO NOT USE CANNED SPRAY OIL. Read the included brochure. Use bottled oil instead or butter.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Fair warning.
Great- for about 6 months. I think it is safe to assume all the ‘great’ reviews are written based upon the first month of use. Glad we didn’t do that. OUR experience was great too. Then like everyone else, we experienced the same issues. These ‘Greenspan’s’ are GARBAGE at the six month marker- we NEVER cook at anything hotter than medium. We’ve NEVER put in the dishwasher, or scrubbed with anything remotely harsh. Just a soft sponge. The two pans we bought ended the same way. They ‘look’ brand new, zero scratches. But whatever goes in now, sticks horribly.

Best non-stick skillet I've owned.
I would give this pan 4.3 stars. I bought one of these about 3 years ago and use it 3-4 times per week for general frying, sauteing, etc. I'm replacing it after 3 years because the original has lost a lot of its non-stick properties. It has had no flaking of the coating, and as far as true non-stick pans go, this one is the best I've found.

Nonstick Frying? Not likely…
Great weight, “green”, and nice looking sets, however, within a month basic things like eggs, pancakes, and chicken breast started sticking. Trust me when I say we REALLY tried to do everything right with this pan(no sprays, controlled heat, don’t rapidly cool, etc). Perhaps we used too high of heat(which would have only been med high at most) which then started to break down the surface. From there, started a cycle of progressively stuck on foods and more vigorous cleanings, which has only accelerated its downfall. The worst part for me, once the non stick started to deteriorate, boy has it been a pain to clean. You have to use so much elbow grease to get stuff off, it’s somehow worse than our stainless. The pan may have also warped, as oil pools more on the outside now than we remember at the start. Now, we wait longer for it to heat, use no higher than the lowest med high, and use oil along with a brush to spread(because oil doesn’t spread in this pan for some reason). If the pan is not coated in oil, an egg will stick and you’ll nearly have to clean the pan to cook a 2nd egg. My take away is this pan may be for you if you don’t care about a good sear, you are okay with waiting a long time for the pan to heat up, and you don’t mind a lot of effort to clean it because I’m fairly confident food will eventually stick. Shortly after buying this we had the same experience with the 2 Greenpan Dutch ovens, after pasta started to stick. Which I pointed out to my wife that maybe boiling pasta in a pan that says don’t use high heat was not a good idea(maybe someone can correct me). If these don’t sound like red flags to you then this pan may be for you!

Amazing non-stick, low chemical skillet
I needed to replace my aging skillet due to concerns over the chemical coating. I wanted something free of those potentially unsafe chemical coatings but still non-stick. The GreenPan fits the bill. I did an egg test -- will an egg smoothly glide across the pan or will it stick? The egg slid around, and I could flip it easily to cook an over-medium egg. So far, I've cooked eggs, bacon, meats, etc. and all have come out with minimal cleanup leaving no residue. The pan looks and acts practically brand new after each cooking, using only some water to clean. We'll see how this works in the long term, but I'm thinking of replacing all my pans with the GreenPan brand.

Non-Stick
I purchased this Frying Pan to replace my old non-stick pan, which is no longer non-stick. LOL :D I've only used the GreenPan once to make a cheese omelet and was very happy with it. No sticking at all. I used a small amount of Ghee since it is not recommended to use non-stick sprays. I also did not use on a high heat setting, which is not recommended. Very easy to clean as there was no stuck-on food to deal with like on my old frying pan. Only time will tell how well this Valencia Pro will hold up, but I think it will do fine as long as all recommended guidelines are followed: heat, utensils, oils and washing (I hand wash).

Sticky after 3 uses. Expected higher quality from greenPan Rio, turned up not very durable
Recently I threw away greenPan Rio as became sticky very soon. This Time I spent double on GreenPan pro Valencia hoping that the higher quality as advertised will last longer. Same story. It became sticky on the edges after 3 uses, and I’ve been using it with lowest temperature possible. Here goes another pan in the trash :/ The burned edges are caused during the second use, as I was making pancakes, so the edges that were not covered with batter during the cooking period were repeatedly more hit with the oil until you finish cooking 10 Pancakes. Even though a lowest possible temperature was used, edges became sticky with burned grease afterwards. With non-abrasive cleaning method the stains didn’t go away. I added vinegar/warm water and dish soap/water with baking soda, none of these cleaning methods worked. On the third use when I tried to make an omelette, the outer part of the pan was already sticky, so I’m very disappointed with the durability of a pan that was advertised as more durable.

Greenpan maintains superior reputation
This is my 3rd GreenPan frypan I’ve owned over the last 20 years and it still lives up to its reputation. I’ve been using this pan everyday for the past several weeks since arrival. I usually cook using stainless steel or cast iron pan, however this is the dedicated egg/breakfast pan. If you follow the instructions to heat the pan on low-medium heat prior to adding oil, it cooks beautifully. Minimal oil is required, eggs slide off the pan on their own, and clean up is a breeze. I suspect users who have issues are cooking with high heat, in which case is a recipe for disaster. This pan is definitely made for gentle cooking and absolutely no high heating.

Pricey but glad I bought it
Best frying pan I've owned. I love the fact that I'm not eating chemical poison with every meal. I tried it in the oven using the broiler and as advertised it works great. No sticking . As advertised to thick bottom takes a few minutes to warm up but when it does I find I have to turn the temperature way lower than most frying pans.
