The PERFECT Wood Bristle Brush! BEST brush Iโve ever used!
This brush is so lovely!! Let me start by saying that Iโve been on a mission to find the โperfect hairbrushโ. Growing up, we always had a mix match of plastic based brushes with metal bristles that I feel like damaged my hair more than helped it. The past 3 years I had a great small travel wood brush with plastic bristles that I still love (especially the size of it) but I was really hoping for wood bristles because Iโve read a lot about the benefits of wood bristles (+ itโs a more compostable, eco-friendly option). I did try a hairbrush with copper bristles over the summer. It was good and helped with my dry, flaky scalp, BUT it bothered me that the brush was mainly made of plastic and it was a pain to clean the hair out for some reason. This Beyond Naturals brush however....what a DREAM! My sister has the same one and trying hers convinced me to choose the same brand. It feels like a massage on your scalp! I like the more pointed bristles versus rounded ones because I feel like it untangles my hair better and is really helping my dry scalp. Also, supposedly wood bristles are better for distributing your natural hair oils or any products you might be using in your hair. As for the size, the handle is very comfortable to hold and has such a nice, natural curve to it. The brush head is big but not absurdly big. I was worried it would be a little large for traveling but I feel like this is just the right size. The rubber pad part that holds the bristles pushes in vey gently when brushing so I feel like it forms better to my head when brushing. It has been really easy to clean and I think thatโs partly because the pointed bristles allow for the hair to be pulled off the brush head more easily. Lastly, as for aesthetics, the color of the wood and bristles is really pretty and natural looking and I like the off-white coloring of the bristles rubber base. It looks good even left out on my bathroom counter! :) Any ways, if your hesitating...go for it! As Iโve mentioned, Iโve probably tested a few dozen brushes in my lifetime and this one is the best Iโve found! LAST COMMENTS: In regards to my hair type (which I think would be helpful for people to know), I am Caucasian with thin, fine, long hair (which has gone through a lot of damage with hair dying). I am not being paid or anything for this review...Iโm just really obsessed with this hairbrush and I always find other peopleโs honest reviews to be so helpful!

Wonderful!
Silly me, I saw a small hole in the brush pad, and I thought "Oh no, a bristle fell out!" My husband came over, laughing at me, showing me it was just a hole for air. Lol! I've only used it a few times so far, but I really love it. I love the way it feels on my scalp so much, I catch myself brushing through my hair one...or two more times after my first brushthrough. It feels like a massage, and it seems to be helping clear off dry scalp stuff. I tossed my paddle brush - you know the plastic kind with little balls - using this I realized how awful that was on my hair, even though I was detangling beforehand with a wide toothed comb. I do the same routine with this brush. I haven't noticed any improvement on the frizz I have at the top of my head, but that could be anything, unrelated to the brush. Maybe I'll start incorporating an oil. Anyway, I don't regret my purchase one bit, and while I am still interested in trying and collecting other wooden brushes. This one is great for those looking for a high quality wood brush to transition to, and I'm happy this is my first brush of this kind. I'm in love! I would really like to see this company create their own full boar bristle brush, since it seems even the fancier brands are mixed with nylon or other materials, and nylon is a no-no...are least that's what my hair tells me. Buy this brush. Treat yourself and your hair.

Do yoursef a favor and get this brush over other brands! It's amazing!
I absolutely love this brush! It's exactly what I wanted, and it's a good quality brush. I have thick, but very fine wavy hair prone to breakage, split ends, and static, and this brush is my little miracle! The bamboo body is smooth, and fits well in my hand, the bristles are also bamboo and provide a gentle massage for scalp when brushing, without being too sharp to feel scratchy. I bought this brush almost a year ago, and it still looks like new despite daily use and extensive travel. The bristles stay where they are supposed, so no bristles popping out of the rubber backing like with cheaper brushes! Also, since I started using this brush, I experience a lot less breakage and split ends, it also reduced the static in my hair to a minimum. Over all, I'm very happy with this brush, id if I ever lose it, I'm going to buy another one in a heart beat!

Pretty cool brush. Doesn't do any tricks though.
I actually really like this brush. I have seborrheic dermatitis and brushes that don't scratch and agitate my scalp are really important to me. I hate plastic brushes because the tips wear out way too quickly so I started looking towards bamboo as another option. This brush is really cheap and the bristles are rounded over and gently comb my scalp so it feels amazing compared to what I've used before. I don't see it being a huge help as far as my dandruff is concerned because I'm using multiple treatments but it's a pretty cool brush. And it's cute as far as hairbrushes go.

5 Stars So Far...
9-24-17 I'm reviewing the Large Bamboo Wooden Brush (comes in 2 sizes), which I ordered 2 of. One for myself, one for my daughter. I'm VERY picky on the brush I choose. I have very fine hair and shed like crazy... so much that I don't know how I'm not thinning. Anyway, the type of brush I use for daily brushing would be a coarse, nylon/plastic thick bristles without the nubs on the ends. The pad that the bristles attach to, would usually have to be plastic too, because any other type would pull my hair from being caught in it. I also use the Boar Bristle brushes but that's usually reserved for smoothing out when styling, such as putting hair in a ponytail and getting the "bumps" out. If I were to use the Boar Bristle brush for daily/regular brushing, I find that it doesn't go into my hair like all the way through or to the scalp. They tend to be more "staticky" too. I'm really in love with this brush. I find it actually makes it to the scalp, very massaging, and doesn't catch my hair anywhere. It's also easy to clean. I pull off any and all hair after each use, and I wash my brush in the bathroom sink, at least once a week, with the hottest water I can stand and a dishsoap filled, scrubby, bristled brush. I've only had these brushes for 2 weeks or so, but I think these are the best brushes, so far, that I've ever purchased. I'm glad due to the cost but I'm finding it well worth it. I know for a fact, the paddle portion is truly a Bamboo wood, and the bristles ARE wood too, despite others claiming that they're not. It's just not Bamboo wood.. it's some sort of finished (clear-coated) Pine or other light wood. I pulled a bristle and dug into it to verify. As to the claims of less or no static while brushing, I can't verify yet. It's still quite muggy, hot, & humid here, but I will surely update once winter rolls around. I bought this from the seller "Beyond 100" but fulfilled by Amazon, which I feel is important to list this info. I've come across sellers with variances in their items, including knockoffs, even if listed as same brand. I'll post an update with a durability review. ***UPDATE*** 11-19-17 I'm finding out that the claims of being anti-static to be true so far. Temps have dipped down into the 30s, and so far, I've had no issues with static. Now this wasn't my main reason for purchasing this brush but it sure is a nice side effect! I'm thrilled that the pad seems to be staying light and clean looking, especially since I wash the bristles from time to time, unlike many others, the pad would look dingy even with washing as often as I do. This just assures me that I made a great decision to buy it. Again, I didn't like the price, but if this continues to work out the way it is now, it's definitely worth it & should last many years. Looking forward to posting another update with a durability review. :) ***UPDATE*** 9-4-18 It's almost been a year since purchase, and I'm still as happy as I was when I first received this brush. It's holding up well, with few signs of wear. This time I included pics, to show the state of the brush after almost a year of use. Like I mentioned before, I regularly clean my brush, so the photo was taken just after cleaning. The only thing I've found, is some of my baby hair or a few strands are so tightly wound up at the base of the bristle, that I cannot 100% get rid all the hair like I once could. I think the hair plants itself into the rubber pad portion and the only way to completely remove all shed hair is to remove the bristle and hopefully be able to get it back it. I haven't tried to yet, as I see whatever hair still stuck is clean at least, because I wash and clean my brush so much. Maybe when my germophobic or OCD ways grab hold, I'll attempt this.

Very Nice Brush
I have been waiting to review this product to see how much I liked it. So far this brush has been great. I have pulled at my hair quite a bit and none of the bristles have broken. I have not seen much difference in the amount of hair that comes out as I brush my hair compared to the plastic brushes but I can say that I find it very easy to clean any hair caught in the bristles of this brush out. As this my first time using a wooden brush I was also worried if this brush would start to look bad if exposed to water and so far it has not let me down. As far as how much it feels like a head message (one of the reasons I also wanted a wooden brush) I would say it feels like a 7 out of 10. I guess if the bristles were thicker it would feel more like a head massage as you brush your hair. I purchased the travel size brush (which I didn't realize that I had purchased the travel size until after I checked back) and am very happy with the size of it. The size of this brush is very much like a normal size plastic bristle brush. I really like this brush so far :)

Normal brush- just bamboo.
Okay, so I gave this a 3 star because it's not exactly what I thought it was. I would like for the record that I bought this full price and not for review purposes. Advertised as "bamboo scalp massager for itchy dandruff hair- anti static". I had scalp dermatitis so I have dandruff. I currently use Jason brand natural dandruff shampoo. In turn I noticed a really bad filmy scum on my normal day hairbrushes. My hope for this brush is that it can clean easily without growing mold on the inside. Reading through the description it seemed this was a solid brush. To me I noticed it is basically the same as a normal brush, just wood. The bristles did hurt my scalp, probably from my skin problem (something I don't have with plastic brushes), there was one bristle missing as some people have stated in their review too, there was static when I brushed my hair (I have been waiting for this brush all week so I haven't brushed my hair for a while with a brush), and did pull out some hair. THIS IS NOT MY GRIEVANCE however. I LOVE the fact that is is natural bamboo- I am slowly making changes in the things I use and I think this has great potential. I feel that it was not what is seemed and may not work for MY intended purpose. SO what I have to say is this: In my opinion this is the same as a plastic brush just bamboo. I have photos showing that the bristles are bendy, the bristle pad does push in and will hold water if you wash it. That being said, it's natural, it is lightweight and it is supporting a USA made small family business. This brush feels amazing!
Really love this brush! I have never used a wooden brush before, but I have already thrown out all of my other brushes because I'm never going back to nylon/plastic ones again. For those people who say that this brush creates static instead of getting rid of it - it's true that when you first start using it, your hair does seem to be more fly-away. But, the more that I use this brush, the better it performs. Once your natural hair oils are on the bristles the static goes away. I like the size and feel of the brush. I love how it massages my head when I'm brushing my hair. I actually enjoy brushing my hair again. I would love to get this brush in a smaller size, so I'm hoping Beyond 100 Naturals has a smaller one I can buy. I've had this for only a few weeks, so I can't speak to the durability of the brush, but so far it seems like it is well made.
