Buy a 12mm x 8mm stainless threaded insert and it works perfectly. Like it was meant to be.

Sky Watcher never disappoints! I have made several purchases from their store and they never disappoint. The Star Adventurer Counter Weight Kit is exactly what I needed. The quality is top-notch, and it has made balancing my gear so much easier. It’s well-built, easy to use, and a perfect fit for my setup. If you’re serious about astrophotography, this is a must-have accessory!

This is the smaller diameter counter weight rod weight. It will not work for Star Adventurer GTI or other large equatorial mounts. It’s basically just the weight and locking screw, performs as you would expect.

The rod requires a mount with M8 threads, so if you want to use this with a Sky Watcher AZ-GTi mount outfitted with a latitude base to operate in equatorial mode, you have to separately purchase an M8 to M12 thread adapter (these typically come bundled in packs of 6 for $10 from an independent supplier). How nearsighted of Sky Watcher not to include this little thread adapter in their counter weight kit for something that can’t cost more than $1.50 for a single fitting.

É um peso cilíndrico, com um buraco no meio e que corre ao redor de uma haste de aço, não há muito o que se dizer a respeito de algo tão simples. Os materiais são bons, a haste é curta, porém com o peso na extremidade mais afastada da rosca, a força de torque é grande. Comprei apenas porque o conjunto apareceu em promoção por menos de 200 reais, cerca da metade do preço médio, e envio grátis. Ainda não testei porque estou esperando chegarem outros componentes da montagem.

Worked fine, but I replaced the bar with a threaded bolt to get extra length. Worked well for the entire of the solar eclipse.

Pour l'instant j'attends de trouver le raccord manquant car cet objet a un filtage de diamètre m8 et un adaptateur M12 vers M8 devrait etre fournis avec. Ce n'est pas le cas. Dommage.

De igual manera, es un accesorio complementario a la Sky Watcher Star Advenure que NO es PRO. La pesa viene en excelentes condiciones y también ya lo pude acoplar a la Sky Watcher S20560 Star Adventurer DEC - Soporte telescópico. Todo muy bien!!!
