Mom's Choice Award Gold Recipient The Adventures of Mali & Keela is an award-winning book of adventure stories to introduce children to virtues. These engaging stories for 3 to 7 year olds help children understand 52 virtues, including kindness, compassion, integrity, courage, respect, patience, honesty, and more. Virtues are brought to life in lively, entertaining adventure stories designed to be read aloud to young listeners. Each tale is followed by clear, age-appropriate definitions of the virtues for the adult reader and the young audience to explore. Discussion questions are also provided to draw the children into a conversation, helping them to put each virtue into context within their own experienceโwhile young and old enjoy the thrill of a well-told yarn. Review: Loved this book so much! Sad to be finished with it. - I found this book through a homeschool mom's blog. I was looking for a book to add to our morning basket. Every morning before starting our school day, the kids would eat breakfast and I would sip my coffee and read them a chapter. Each chapter teaches 4 virtues in a cute adventurous story. At the end of each story, there are examples of how the characters displayed each one of these virtues and also discussion questions. They are all written in a very simple, kid friendly way. My 4 and 6 year old really loved our mornings with Mali & Keela and after each chapter's discussion, I felt like they really had an understanding of the virtues that we talked about and how we can recognize and use them more often in our daily interactions. Adding this book to our morning routine really helped set a great tone for our day. I wish I could give Mali & Keela more than 5 stars and even more, I wish that the author would keep on writing these books! We need more!! Review: Adored by 5 year old - My 5 year old son loves this book! Like most 5 year olds I know, my son wants to be a hero. It's not always easy looking up to Superman and Batman. Their heroics aren't exactly something a small child can aspire to. These stories are different. They very gently teach the true and attainable ways of behaving like a hero and treating other people with kindness. My son loves that the stories are adventurous and I really appreciate the gentle positive messages woven throughout. I'm so glad I purchased this book!

Nice
I like that this is not punch you in the face preachy morality tales. It's a book of stories you can also learn from. Virtues books aren't typically my thing but this is a good one

Sneaky learning.
My daughter loves these stores and asks me to read them to her often. I love that sheโs enjoying read aloud time and learning great character traits at the same time.

great book for my 8- year old!
Book arrived quickly and right away my 8 year old son picked it up and started reading. It took him the first chapter to get into the book as it's structured a little different with moral of the story following each but quickly understood the pattern. It's a great read and provides an opportunity for parents to discuss the story as it progresses through the virtue references ( a rare opportunity in today's world!). Enjoy...

Perfect for starting the homeschool day
My kids are 6 & 4 and they LOVE these stories! Very silly and cute - super simple and just what I was hoping it would be: a conversation starter about important virtues. I only wish the book was longer!

Just what I was looking for!
I love everything about this book. It is exactly what my school kiddos needed as they are a close-knit group and get into squabbles often. They love the adventure of the story and I love the question/discussion boxes after each chapter that reinforce the virtues in the story.

Delightful stories
Each story provides a talking points for at least four virtues - and the guide at the end of each helps you to see the story from this point of view. Good training for a story reader - how to recall parts of stories and the lessons that we are taught. All-round beautiful. Recommended.

Virtues
I wanted to give my little granddaughters some guidance on how to be responsible members of society but in a way that made sense to them by engaging their interest. This book does exactly that, so in today's rapidly changing society it is a great tool. they can identify with the characters and understand the reasons for making the moral choices we all must make.
