Hello World Hardcover – Picture Book, 1 Sept. 2016

Nice, interactive book with lots of flaps for children to lift - my little boy really enjoys looking at it, though I would prefer if there was more cultural/educational content. It focuses primarily on saying “hello” in different languages so more of a ‘browsing’ book than one to read together.

Bought this for my daughter who is intrigued about the world we live in and other cultures. She loves the book and has learnt alot from it.

Hello World. This is a fabulous book, equally popular in our house with people aged 2, 6, 38 and 39. It's fascinating to find that not all hellos are direct translation s and some aren't even words at all. The maps are also beautiful. Highly recommended.

What an engaging way to introduce children to the world. My grandaughter's aunt visited China recently and taught her to say 'hello' and 'goodbye' in Chinese, so this book was a fantastic way to expand her horizons.

A must-have for multicultural primary classrooms - I can so easily imagine friends showing each other where their families came from and swapping greetings in different languages - , and even more essential for schools where there aren't many different languages and cultures represented. A glorious celebration of people, whatever language we speak.
