Left Driver Side Front Seat Bottom Replacement Cushion Lower Pad for 2004-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 Truck Pickup

I have a Dodge RAM 2500 Quad cab, I went on my camping trip and replaced at my campsite. Very easy to do. You will need to remove all 8 bolts that hold both seats down due to the framing of the center console.Did not have to take it out of the truck, just tilt it forward and backward. In my case no tools were needed.

The original foam has a tough coating on the bottom of the cushion. This coating will eventually fail. The seat frame has wires that supports the cushion. When the coating fails, the wires cut through the foam like those wire boiled egg slicers. Add a layer of something that the wires will not cut through. I use a piece of cheap THIN level loop carpet.

Has held up well over time. My ass is happy and my dumps are staying regular as well.

If you can replace the cushion yourself it's well worth it. I got an estimate for $300 from a garage.

The driver's seat foam in my truck was tired and thin. I hadn't even realized how bad it was until I drove on a bumpy road and kept jabbing my bones into the seat frame. I checked out the problem and found that the foam was falling apart. Removal and installation takes patience and skill. Be prepared for it and plan to spend time getting it done correctly. The foam installed perfectly and aligned with the factory seat upholstery without any issues. Now the seat is so comfortable. I sit higher on the seat so I have the whole thing adjusted down. I'm just so impressed with the value of this molded seat foam and how wonderful it is to drive my truck. It feels like new! Purchase with confidence. Then educate yourself about installation and take time to do a good job.

Under the clips on my factory seat cover installed the new seat padding, good choice . Will write an additional review once I've used it for a while.

It was exactly as expected and fit well

I installed this on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. Installation is pretty easy if you remove the 4 nuts holding the bottom seat to the frame. Then lift the front of the bottom seat to unhook the seat cover from the frame. Remove cover and old foam, place new foam on frame and stretch the seat cover back into place. Don’t forget to bolt the seat back on.I do sit higher than before which is ok since the old foam had me sagging down. It is stiffer but I’m sure in time it will break in some. I would buy again.
