Great Welder for the Money.
This is a great machine for a hobbyist, or even a low production shop. The fact that it is 110 and 220v makes it extremely portable, and you're not limited to using it in a certain area(albeit, it will be at a lower amperage). I agree with the other reviews... if you are looking at a 900 dollar welder, go ahead and get this Lincoln. Full warranty for 3 years, IIRC; although most likely you will never need it. There are a couple of cons even though I gave it a 5 star review. The pulse feature is limited to 20PPS. Usually, this is fine, but if you are really trying to control heat on thin metal, it would be nice to have more adjustability in the waveform(it's currently locked at 50%) and a higher PPS. 99.9% of people will never notice this. As other mentioned, the HF start pulse is probably over 10amps, and on super thin sheet metal this might be problematic. It would be nice to have some adjustability here. That said.... if you want those 2 very small quibbles, you can step up to the Miller at almost 3X the cost.

Did not work straight outta the box !
Didn't work straight outta the box. Plugged it in and absolutely nothing. Returned it for a full refund quick and easy.... picked up the exact same unit from my local welding supplier and it works flawlessly. Definitely a great machine but it must have taken a beating on the delivery trip. It has very fragile parts inside and needs to be handled very carefully. I don't recommend that delivery method as I honestly suspect the machine was damaged during shipping...

Excellent piece of equipment
Excellent piece of equipment! Where I struggled with an import welder, I produced good welds within 15 minutes with this unit.

Wish i wouldve had this 10 years ago
So far ive welded 316 stainless for my boat and it worked flawlessly. I also welded up some sheet metal and stainless exhaust on my 67 camaro rsss and again near flawless welds. I also welded up round and flatbar on my 55 & 48 panhead projects, and once again nearly perfect welds. There might be better welding machines out there but I highly recomend this one! 👍👍

The welder depends on your skill level
I think it's overrated and overpriced, I bought a Miller thunderbolt CC AC DC 225 20yrs ago for 350.00 and added a cheap Century high frequency box for another 100.00 plus a Tweeco tig torch and can weld anything with it that can be welded with the Lincoln. The benefit the Lincoln has is the foot pedal to control your heat and being able to run off dual voltages, Would I buy the Lincoln again NO.

Machine works great runs like a champ I'm a pipe fitter and weld every day so I have experience with all different types of machines this happens to be the machine I bought for home because it's light enough to carry with one hand and can still get the job done around the house. The stinger, tig torch, and ground clamp aren't very impressive at I'm not a fan of how the tig set up is because there is no shutoff valve and the torch which is the traditional way it's back at the lead when you plug it into the machine I eventually got tired of the factory tig setup and change it how it how 99% of the industry runs their tig setup on a tig/stick machine

Stopped Working after 35 Days
In mid-weld I heard a loud pop come from the machine. Fan turned off, torch stopped working, and gas flow stopped. Panels lights were on, but the machine itself was dead. I bought mines from a local retailer, so there it sits. I thought at first it was a fuse, but after reading so much reviews online about Lincoln's circuit boards going bad after a "pop", I'm making the assumption my board is bad. I read some people wait only a few weeks, while others months. I should've....well you know. This is ridiculous for such a pricey machine from a "legacy" brand. Do I trust the machine after I get it back? The answer would be No. I plan to sell it once fixed and buy a different brand. My recommendation, look elsewhere. Save yourself the headache I'm going through. UPDATE: Lincoln will be sending a new unit, but it will likely be months from now and my rating will not change. Bear in mind I've only had this for 35 days before it broke. Didn't I buy a welder to have one and not be out of one?? Lincoln says to work with the distributor for shipping and receiving. The distributor tells me to work with Lincoln. See where this is going? I've also requested multiple times to AIRFREIGHT this unit back vs barging it due to how long it will take. I mean I'll pay for the shipping at this point. The response remains the same. Lincoln says to talk to the distributor and the distributor says to talk to Lincoln. I've already told each side what's going on and no help. I'm just completely at awe at how dysfunctional the situation is. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK. My distributor is half the problem here, but Lincoln is the other half.
