XINYADA Wireless Digital Audio Baby Monitor 2-Way Talk with Battery & Electricity Power

Purchased this product for my elderly parents. They needed an intercom between their bathroom and the living room. Their problem was if someone needed to call for help in the bathroom, no one could hear them because the bathroom and the living room were on opposite sides of the house. These units fit that solution perfectly. When the unit in the bathroom is plugged in an outlet, the person in the living room can monitor what is happening in the bathroom and can also have a two-way conversation with that person without that person ever touching the unit. I looked at other units to serve this purpose and nothing came close for the price of these. They love them and so do I.

If you are looking for a baby monitor that is completely wireless, then this is it. I searched high and low for a baby monitor where both the baby and parent monitors did not need to be plugged into an outlet. These are completely battery powered. I will say they go through batteries pretty quickly though. Each monitor takes 3 AAA batteries. I have had to change batteries about 3 times on each monitor in a month and I use the monitors about 1 hour per day. These are great for taking camping too. They pick up sound really well.I took off one star for how fast they drain batteries as well as if the baby monitor batteries die while you are using it, you have to quietly go to where the baby is and change out the batteries. That's not always easy.

I've searched everywhere for a monitor where the baby unit can be solely run on batteries. Finally found it! Only wish I would have sooner. It only took me 2 years😠 Still got this for my soon to be 2 year old for when she falls asleep in the car. I keep the baby unit in the car to take out when I pull into the garage. It works real well from garage to living room with no interference. It's so quiet, I had to double check to make sure it was working. I'm getting used to trusting it though and it works great!

We've been using these now for 2 months with our newborn and they work great for our needs. To he honest our house isn't so big that if she's crying we wouldn't hear but the xinyada picks up enough sound that we always know if she's sleeping or even just playing around after waking.We have a nest camera in her crib and we keep the xinyada next to the pack and play where she sleeps a lot too so we we can get some things done around the house without having to pop in to check up on here. We have no need for the walkie talkie style communication but I have tested it and it does work.I like that it has a light on it to let you know the sound level because I have used it while having headphones on and even if you don't hear the baby or whoever you are using it with, you can't miss the lights.We almost always have them plugged in, but having the battery power is a great feature which I use once in awhile.

Works perfectly and truly wireless. I could not find any other baby monitor were both the Child and Parent units were battery operated. I have one of the fancy cam models for the nursery. However, I needed a solution for when we traveled or she was in another room of the house. Being battery operated I can just plop the child unit wherever and not worry about finding an outlet.Battery-life is several hours, overnight would require plugging it into the wall. This is way more than enough for my use case and paired with rechargeable AAA batteries it makes it a non-issue.

I was dubious because of the price, but this set has been very good. I use it for the new puppy when he's out in the pen and I am inside. Please note, this is NOT an outdoor unit. However, I used a zippy bag for protection and velcro to mount it high on the pen. Several wks and rains later, the units are going strong.Be prepared for lots and lots of batteries if you don't plug it in. A single set in the baby unit lasts barely 8 hours. Ok in a pinch but pricey over time. The range is ok, not great. The limit for me was about 50 feet or so, no where near the rating.

I bought the device to be able to listen for sounds from my wife, who suffers from dementia. It appears that the controls on this device were defective: neither one of the two units could be turned off using the on/off switch, nor was there any response to the volume control. The range was not as great as implied in the specs - it is only useful between adjacent rooms in our house. I found that I could still use the device by removing the batteries and turning it off by disconnecting the AC adapter: clumsy but effective. Not recommended.

It works great, I wonder if other reviewers who had a bad experience with this product maybe had interference in the area or possibly a defective product??I bought this particular product because I need to be able to communicate with my husband (disabled with minimal hand and finger movement or strength) so I needed to be able to hear him and reply when Im in a another room, this set does just that, the child unit stays plugged in the bedroom or attached to the wheelchair and I am able to hear everything just like any other baby monitor,and the parent unit allows me to hit a little button on the side (kinda like walkie-talkie style)We can talk back and forth with out him having to scream for me and me running back and forth,You should keep in mind though I live in a 1300 sqft ranch with 300sqft finished portion basement/studio, I wouldn't expect the same results in a bigger multi level home....With all that said I gave it only four stars because the units are very light weight plastic almost with the feel of a toy, so with that I wouldnt expect it to survive to many drops, or even kids for that matter...... For the price quick fix to annoying problem for me...
