Ok, I basically never leave reviews, because I just don't have the time. But knowing how much I rely on others' reviews to help me find things that work, I feel it my duty to share. I bought this a month ago for my 3- and 4-year-old kids, especially. We live in DC (which is a swampy, humid, mosquito-breeding steamroom in the summer), and the mosquitoes are just awful and relentless. My kids love to play outside, both at their daycare and at home, but they've just been getting eaten alive, and my daughter gets really bad reaction and swelling when she gets bitten. It's been so bad that, prior to using Murphy's Repellant, they'd only stay in the yard a couple minutes before coming inside, covered in painful mosquito bites. I'd been using a different repellant (Sallye Ander No-Bite-Me Bug Repellent Cream - 2 oz, Natural, Safe for Kids & Infants, Anti-Itch, Moisturizing, Lemongrass & Mint Scent), which smelled pretty good but was sadly not very effective. Back to the drawing board, I did more research and found Murphy's. The reviews seemed promising, but honestly, I've tried so many non-DEET repellants over the years and none of them have worked very well and are always a disappointment. So I didn't have high hopes for this one. Well, my kids' skin doesn't lie! This stuff has worked shockingly well! We apply it in the morning around 8 am before heading to their daycare (they spend a lot of time outdoors there at the on-site playgrounds). It is effective up through pick up, which is around 4:30/5pm. Then if they want to play outside when we get home, we do have to reapply one time, but that will last them the rest of the evening. It's like...night and day. When my daughter has it on, she plays happily outside. When she doesn't, if she plays outside anyway, she comes in crying in 5 minutes from 5-10 painful mosquito bites. My son doesn't get so upset by bites, but I can see them on his skin when he gets them, and since we started using this, he very rarely has bites on him. Here's a quick pro/con list. PRO: -WORKS (at least for us) -Effective even in humid, mosquito-swarming environments -Easy to apply, and after several minutes, it soaks in completely and leaves no greasy or unpleasant residue CONS: -the smell is rather strong when applying and for about 10 minutes after application (but it does dissipate) -it's a bit pricey (but worth it, since it works!) I hope this review is helpful to other folks looking for EFFECTIVE, non-DEET, non-greasy mosquito repellant!

This product works! I use it daily as I spend a lot of time outdoors. It smells like essential oils. The scent is strong but it dissipates pretty quickly.

I really like the Murphy products and have switched to all of them for mosquito repellent so I can enjoy my coffee in peace in the morning. I use the incense sticks and usually apply the balm that's in the tiny deodorant applicator. (It works REALLY well!) The only bad thing about the sticks is I swipe it on my arm and then I have to rub it in...otherwise you're just painting yourself with a lot of product. So I thought maybe the spray would work better for me. Anyway, it works just as well as a repellant. And I like that I can also give my leggings a light spray too, because sometimes those mosquitos are persistent. But...the smell isn't as nice as the balm. The balm is almost a peppermint/slight medicine smell. Pleasant, but not perfume for sure. The spray is more eucalyptus and less lemongrass. So it smells more like a bug spray to me. I'll still keep it; for application it wins out for sure. And these products do work. I use them almost every day.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Effective Protection Without the Typical Bug Spray Smell! I've been very happy with Murphy's Naturals Mosquito & Tick Repellent Spray. It provides reliable protection when I'm spending time outdoors, whether I'm gardening, hiking, or just relaxing outside. One of the biggest reasons I keep reaching for this product is the scent. I much prefer the smell of this oil of lemon eucalyptus formula over traditional bug repellents. Instead of the strong chemical odor that many sprays have, this has a much more pleasant, fresh scent that makes it far more enjoyable to use. The spray applies easily, doesn't feel overly greasy, and works well on both skin and outdoor gear. The convenient pump bottles are easy to carry along and make application quick and simple. If you're looking for an effective mosquito and tick repellent but dislike the smell of many conventional products, this is an excellent option. I'll definitely continue purchasing it!

I wish I could give this product 10 stars instead of only 5! It is, without a doubt, the best mosquito repellent I have ever used. Over the years, I've tried countless sprays, creams, and gadgets to keep those dreaded "ankle biters" away—the invasive mosquitoes that have become such a nuisance here in Southern California. They bite through clothing, especially around your ankles, and the itching afterward is absolutely miserable. It got to the point where we could hardly enjoy spending time in our own backyard. Then we found this spray, and what a difference! It isn't greasy or sticky like so many other repellents, and the scent is actually quite pleasant. Most importantly, it works. My spouse and I used it, and not once did either of us get bitten. Not a single mosquito bite! I don't usually write glowing reviews, but this product deserves it. If mosquitoes are making your life miserable, do yourself a favor and give this spray a try. I honestly don't think you'll regret it.

Like. I was looking for a natural bug repellent and was very pleased with this product. I gave one bottle to my sister, and we spent the day hiking through the woods looking for morels and enjoying some beautiful views. We covered about five miles that day. The repellent worked well and lasted about as long as stated on the bottle. Later that afternoon, after waiting for my nephew's tap class to finish, we headed back into the woods for another short hike. At that point, the repellent had worn off and needed to be reapplied, which was consistent with the product's stated duration. Overall, I am very happy with Murphy's Naturals Repellent Spray and would purchase it again.

Not going to lie, I had my doubts about this as many "natural" mosquito repellants have not held up to the hype. Take it from me, this is the STUFF. Tested it out on a hike in some deep n wet woods in Iowa. I sat down for a break and instantly saw a cloud of skeeters forming above me. WHOA. Instant perspiration and felt the heart start pounding. I must have been feeling extra brave because I decided to hold my ground and just sit and watch them. So interesting, they would fly by and every once in a while I'd see one cruise down to check out uncovered skin feast territory. It would literally make a low altitude flyby straight down my arm, yet never get closer than an inch because of this awesome juice. Ended the hike mosquito bite-free and super happy, though slightly less excited about my mucky boots that took two days to clean and dry out! :D Highly recommend!!

Used some of this at a friends house on a humid morning (in Louisiana) in the field by the edge of the woods. I am a mosquito magnet, and I didn’t get a single bite! This stuff works so I had to buy it for myself. Bonus that it smells nice and it’s natural, so I don’t feel the need to wash it off as soon as I get inside. I give this 4 stars because one (maybe both) of the bottles sprayers doesn’t work very well.it doesn’t spray out nicely, it just kind of drizzles out when pressed. So I have to drizzle it in my hand and then rub it on.
