I had purchased a Dell gaming monitor that had a HDMI cable. Unfortunately, the computer tower given to me by a friend only had a mini HDMI port so I needed an adapter to connect the monitor. I am not extremely tech/computer savvy so I basically followed my friend's advice as to type of adapter and did a quick comparison. I chose this brand mainly on price comparison to other models as I was not needing top of the line or name brand items. Even though I had seen the product picture on Amazon when I installed it it was bit shorter than I realized. A longer cord length would have been more conducive as anytime I moved the tower while hooking up other cables the adapter would disconnect from HDMI cable However, it was not a major issue to overcome. I just didn't take into account the adapter was designed for a Raspberry Pi computer even though it's plainly stated in product description. It seems like a good quality product and should last for a while. I've only had it less than a week but the adapter is doing it's job and functioning well.

This product is good and promises to do what it is that it is supposed to do, unfortunately, my Canon doesn't respond to the connection of the adapter. Does not look or feel low quality and was shipped fast.

This is just what I needed. I was tired of not being able to watch Prime Videos in HD because of my cobbled-together PC. I was using a VGA cable (I know, I know) with a DVI adapter into my monitor, because my video card has DVI and HDMI Mini output, I only had HDMI-A cables, and was too lazy to buy this $7 adapter until now. The old way was fine for most stuff - writing, websites, even games. The HDCP requirements for streaming HD content meant an upgrade was required, and this bad boy did the trick. MASSIVE improvement in Prime Video streaming quality, and I am only displaying in 1080p. Once I upgrade to a 4K monitor, it will be even better! Speaking of quality: this part is well built, well packaged, has gold-plated contacts, and worked the first time, with zero issues.

I purchased this to connect the output from my Canon camera to a 55" television so others could view the eclipse through my 8" reflector telescope. The adapter worked perfectly and the picture quality was awesome. Those without eclipse glasses were so appreciative of being able to watch the partial phases of the eclipse on the TV. Since my TV is older, there isn't a USB connection, so this mini-HDMI to HDMI adapter was exactly what I needed, and it worked perfectly with no setup needed.

I have an original GPD (small handheld gaming PC). To keep with its small form factor, it has a Mini-HDMI output, rather than a full size. So, when I want to show something on the TV, or attach it to a monitor for use in one of my son's LAN parties, I have to go hunting for that 1 cord I have somewhere with a mini-HDMI connection on 1 side and a full HDMI connection on the other side. Since the cord doesn't stand out much, it can be hard to keep track of. This small little adaptor let's me cram it in the GPD case, and then I only ever have to use a normal HDMI cord (which I have tons of). Makes my life WAY easier!
