I bought the 2x32GB kit to replace the 2x8GB one that came with my Dell XPS 15 9510. This helped increase performance significantly for memory-intensive apps like Adobe Premiere Pro. The replacement process was super easy and it was instantly recognized during boot up. I'm so glad I bought this in late 2024 for $128. The same kit is now $450 with the ongoing chip shortage thanks to A.I. "RAMmageddon".

Installed the Crucial 64GB DDR4 RAM Kit (2x32GB, 3200MHz) into my Alienware x17 R2, and the experience was seamless. I replaced both factory memory sticks, and the system recognized the new RAM immediately, no BIOS adjustments needed. Packaged well and ready to race. I use this laptop for music and video production, as well as other creative work and production tasks, and the performance boost was immediate. Heavy multitasking, DAW projects, and large file operations now run far smoother. This kit is downclock-compatible, which is great for systems that don't support the full 3200MHz. Modules were well-packaged and felt durable, with no installation issues whatsoever. 5/5. Excellent upgrade for anyone running a compatible high-performance laptop. Crucial is a good brand, and you can't beat a pair ("kit") of 32 GB RAM SODIMM for a laptop. I am a power user, and I ignored the retailer's limit and went with the ASUS specification to max out the RAM (64 GB) on my new laptop. No more memory problems with my ridiculous multitasking and numerous open browsers and slew of tabs. If you are at all wondering if it's worth the money to upgrade to the most RAM - DO IT! Check the specs - lots of old systems are just consumer junk sold to unsuspecting victims with low maximum RAM specs - yes, there used to be 4 GB and 8 GB boxes that are useless for modern graphic heavy programs and websites. They can't be upgraded. Check the maximum RAM your system can hold - check the brands that might work on your system (not all RAM manufacturers make the right chips for all HW brands). I know which chips are the best - but you don't get to pick the actual chip (say HYNIX or Korea-made SAMSUNG) so you have to go with the SODIMM brand. Crucial is a good brand, and it worked on my ASUS TUF17 gaming laptop. It's stupid, but this is the world we live in - be patient and take your time to research your system and its RAM max specs and then you have to check the RAM compatibility. Fortunately, the manufacturers are good about listing their specs on-line. Your retailer might not be as helpful since they may only recommend a maximum that encompasses what they sell in their store! The big brand outlet where I got my system (on a great discount sale) listed the max RAM at 32 GB for my laptop - but ASUS said it was 64GB - and off to Amazon I went. I knew (researched) that Crucial was compatible with my system (Kingston was not at that chip size) - and the rest is history. As I say - it's stupid that you have to do all this homework, but welcome to the 21st Century. Do the homework. Bite the bullet. Buy the RAM. Enjoy the speed and stability of your system until the AGI decides we hominids are all obsolete and disposes of us and eats our chips.

Just what I needed. No problems. Fit my HUNSN 4K Mini PC (NUC) BY02-E-2276M-32G1TS

Laptop Dell 5540 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1345U 1.60 GHZ. 4 2KMonitors (2)on a thunderbolt Dell dock and (2) on a generic dock. The laptop allocates the Intel® Iris GPU one sodimm ddr4 to GPU task and the other to system tasks. It would sometimes smart manage 25% of the total 16GB RAM to GPU tanks and the remaining to system tasks. Over the past few weeks it split 50/50 between the sticks of ram. Which caused there to be a lot of over head from compression and page filing to the hard drive the 22GB need for system/programs task alone. After the 64GB (2x32) it still splits 50/50. It runs great. The bios took some time to adjust and test which it did on its own. Had to reboot a few times. But it seems to be working normally. The load times have improved greatly. So, 32gb slot one 22GB on system task (vm,teams,office,cloud drive) bloatware is removed 32gb slot two Averaging 2-6 GB maybe more depends on task for the GPU. Yes 32gb is overkill. For the IRIS on silicon shared RAM setup. I’m impressed with the performance happy with the results. I have have grate results from critical ram in the past on my iMacs back when you could upgrade. This new Dell is as responsive as my 2015 MacBook Pro is now on two thunderbolt monitors. Unfortunately it runs windows 11. Which I have to use for work:-(. TlDR - power down your laptop unplug battery swap out the RAM old for the new. The first reboot takes time. You will love the results. PS windows 11 is Garbage.

Acabo de comprar estos 64GB DDR4 para mi viejo Dell XPS 15 9560, y de momento parece que funciona. Las especificaciones del portátil decían que sólo soporta hasta 32GB de RAM, pero me puse a investigar y resulta que el procesador soporta hasta 64GB. Y algunos foros especializados así lo confirmaban. Mi procesador es un i7-7700HQ. Y el chipset de la placa base es el Intel HM175. Además, mi placa base utiliza memoria DDR4 2400MHz. Me arriesgue comprando esta de 3200 porque es más barata. Y afortunadamente también funciona. No ha sido necesario hackear la BIOS para forzar una velocidad compatible. En mi portátil se ha ajustado automáticamente a 2400MHz. Es decir, una frecuencia menor que lo máximo que soporta la memoria, pero lo compensa con que disminuye los ciclos a CL17, haciendo que la velocidad efectiva sea la misma. Le he pasado el memtest un rato y parece que es estable. (Si en vuestro ordenador el ajuste de la velocidad no es automático quizás necesitéis usar programas como modGRUBShell.efi o setup_var.efi). Crucial también vende una memoria de 2666MHz para Mac que aunque no lo especifique también sirve para PC. Y venden la versión de 2400MHz, pero es mucho más cara. Mucha gente dice que es innecesario poner tanta memoria, pero debe ser gente que sólo usa el ordenador para hacer chorradas. A poco que lo uses para trabajar o estudiar utilizando programas de simulación, 3D, máquinas virtuales... necesitas mucha memoria, y 64GB vienen muy bien, de hecho nunca es suficiente. Hoy en día hay portátiles con 128GB de RAM y PCs con mucho más. A Amazon le recomendaría que enviase la memoria en un paquete más resistente, no en un sobre de cartón que se puede doblar y partir, estamos hablando de un producto que cuesta 130€. Espero que me dure mucho tiempo.

This Crucial RAM kit was simple to install, even for a beginner. I followed a quick video guide and had no trouble upgrading my laptop myself, saving money on the process. The modules feel solid, performance is excellent, and after a year my system is still running perfectly. The boost in speed is clear — multitasking is smoother, gaming runs without lag, and heavy applications open faster. It’s one of the most effective upgrades I’ve made to a laptop. That said, it’s worth pointing out: the current pricing of memory is outrageous. This isn’t Amazon’s fault, but manufacturers are charging far too much for what should be a straightforward upgrade. The quality is there, but the cost feels like a robbery.
