This is an excellent shower stall safety device
We purchased and installed this suction-held safety grab bar in our shower over tub enclosure a month ago. It has functioned perfectly. Our shower over tub enclosure has smooth walls made of a synthetic plastic material and was installed 25 years ago in a house remodel. I cleansed the surface with 95% isopropyl alcohol, which was allowed to dry, before installing the grab bar. The suction cups were easy to apply and provided a very powerful suction grip when installing the grab bar. We installed two, one at each end of the shower enclosure. I test the suction each time before using the shower or tub. There has been no evidence of loosening of the grab bars since installed a month ago. We like its smooth white surface which matches the color of our shower over tub enclosure. It also has a sturdy textured handle with plenty of space for fingers. We feel much more secure with this balance- assisting device when getting in or out of shower. I highly recommend this attractive, well-designed safety device for smooth-walled shower enclosures like ours.Update: It has now been 3 months since we installed this grab bar, and there has been no loosening of the original installation. I have purchased another for our daughter’s family, who has a similar shower enclosure. She liked the ease of installation. And, I am buying another one today for our upstairs shower for added safety grip protection.

Very good shower holds!
When I first started to consider installing some kind of hand hold in my shower I was not excited about suction cup type holds, but I thought that I would give these a try. Well, after nearly two years of use I couldn't be more pleased with this product. The grip is fantastic. In all of this time the holds have never come off on their own. I removed them only one time to slightly reposition them and they have remained "sucked" fast ever since. If I tried to pull one of these holds loose from their stuck fast position I would really have to work hard at it. The only caution I would give is that my shower walls are solid sheets of Corian so they provide a smooth, unbroken surface for the suction cups to adhere to. If you have tile shower walls you would have to ensure that the spacing of the grout lines doesn't allow them to fall under one of the suction cups. Other than that, I would highly recommend these grips for their sturdiness and reasonable price.

Work very well.
I installed several of these bars in my shower about 10 months ago. I always give them a firm tug before I step into the shower to see if they are still secure. After about 10 months the first one started to slip! I think this is outstanding. I re-installed the one that slipped and it is holding well. These bars install easily and work as advertised. NOTE: They do not hold on rough surfaces.

Works!
These are easily installed. As one reviewer at least said...they do fall off. So, be wary. The manufacturer says not to put your full weight on them, but use as steadying. They work well and are very helpful, glad I have them. One did fall off and was put back on..so don't trust them completely. They look like giant telephones and you can fool visitors...ask them not to make calls from the tub...gets them... until they think about it!

Work Great for Us
When we had our bathroom re-done, the bathtub wound up being installed on a 5" higher platform than the original (an issue with the plumbing that needed to be compensated for). The bathtub itself, as well, is deeper than standard US tubs. This combination made getting in for bathing ... an adventure. The solution was a grippy bar, this was the one we initially chose to try out. It's worked great. It's very easy to "install," my elderly mother can remove and replace it without assistance (she can't carry more than about 20 lbs, to give you an idea of her gripping strength). When she moved in, we bought 2 more of these grip bars to help her stay stable. They do come loose - but I've never had it "come off in my hand" when I've needed it. I usually give it a light tug before I put more weight on it. That said, I have come into the bathroom and found the grip bar tumbled into the bathtub. It's easy enough to re-attach to the wall, it's not unattractive, it's light-weight on it's own and we found it intuitive to use.

Safe-er-Grip shower handles stay on the wall!
First, I will say I don't have them (2) right in the path of the shower water spray. We had the tub converted to a shower and one is on the opposite "long" wall from the shower head and the other is outside the shower on a tile wall to help my 97 year old mom step over the shower lip. These are in addition to 2 longer handles we had professionally installed when doing the conversion. These Safe-er-Grip handles have been in place for "MANY" months (probably over a year for one and close to a year for for the second and have not loosened.I did buy 2 cheaper ones from TEMU for a second shower for myself thinking I was saving money but always have to check those before I "might" use them for myself. Temu's products have both fallen off the wall several times in a shorter time than I have these 2 Safe-er-Grip handles from Amazon. I try to remember to tug on the TEMU handles before showering but it never fails, they fall off the wall in the middle of the night. These also are NOT in the path of the water. These SAFE-er-GRIP have NEVER FALLEN OFF THE WALL. I have also recommended these SAFE-er-GRIP handles to friends because I haven't had ANY problems with them. Good Luck!
