This Tactical holster features the Self Locking System (SLS™) rotating hood system which is so well suited for the tactical situations encountered today. The hood on the Model 6004 holster can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward and actually becomes more secure when upward force is applied. Slight modification needed for P229 Legion
The media could not be loaded. When I was setting it up, I had a small issue where the little tab thing on the hood would run against the thumb guard or whatever it’s called; meaning the hood would not only not close all the way, but the hood would pull the hammer back a little bit. I adjusted the body tension screw and it fixed the fit (of course) but the tab still caught the hammer and landed against the thumb guard thingy.I just took a knife and cut off the little tab thing and now it works perfect! I used this style holster, same brand, for my M9 while I served in the military. GREAT holster. Over time you will need to retighten the straps though. (I had to do so once every two weeks or so with DAILY usage 8-12+ hours a day.Once you get used to the hood release, your draws/transitions will be the smoothest you will have EVER had. Favorite holster by far.
