Come-Hither Honeycomb Paperback – February 2, 2021

I’ve loved each of Belieu’s books, but COME HITHER is next-level beauty and craft. I find myself reading one poem and having to pause for days to chew on its complexity, to wrestle with what it pulls out of me as a reader. She makes the hard work look effortless as she turns and leaps with incredible surprise. This is my favorite poetry book I’ve read in ages, and one I will reread and teach from for years to come.

Interesting work, but not very much of it. I guess I have to buy some more.
