Tough, Sharp, Child-Proof = the Perfect Pins!
Absolutely fantastic! I ordered these pins after searching through many cloth diaper forums reading about people's favorite pins to use. The Dritz was very popular as being a long time favorite from child to child. I couldn't be happier that I did.The pins are tough, thick metal with plastic caps that slide slightly up to fit the sharp point inside the metal inner cap, then the plastic cap slides down to lock over it all securely. They are very sharp, and slide through my daughters prefolds easily. I keep them open and stabbed into a bar of soap beside her changing table. (The soap really helps them slip through fabric)The bent style seems to make it much easier to fit all the fabric in the pin and more comfortable to handle. It also helps the fabric sit in the middle of the pin, which I like because I've had some that would bunch all the fabric on the head of the pin and it would snag there when you tried to open it. These do not do that at all!I have a small daughter and have to fold her prefolds down in front and back, so there are many, many layers of fabric to go through and pin together and these just are fantastic.I have absolutely no worries that my daughter will be able to open them on her own, yet I can easily use them even with holding a diaper and a wriggling child. I highly recommend these pins! They came very quickly! I ordered two packages, received one of yellow and one of white.

Just like the old days!
I used pins like this 40 plus years ago on my kids cloth diapers. It was an assurance to have the end slide down to prevent the pin from opening. I actually still have one leftfrom that time. When I saw these, I just wanted them. The point is sharp and slides easily into heavy fabric like denim.

Best diaper pins ever.
These are the most reliable Diaper Pins that I've ever found. They actually have a lock! Slide the plastic part up to open and down to lock. I have NEVER had one come unlocked unless I unlocked it. Some reviewers have an issue with these pins because they can be difficult to get through the folds of diapers. I've found that if you stick them into a bar of soap or even a candle stub, they just glide on through. I am 66 years old and bought these when my granddaughter was born. I still use them every day. Because my granddaughter lives with me, I keep the keys to my gun safe, my medication box and the room in which I keep the aforementioned locked up, on my pajamas at night and on my underwear during the day. I have difficulty with my fingers these days, so I leave the pins attached all the time. My keys are on a stretchy cord on one end and a carabiner on the other, so I just click them into place on the pin. I also love the bright colors. I've had fun matching them with my clothes even though nobody else can see. It's a definite "yes" from me!

Poor. Hard to use, cheap to look at.
The pens seem to hold only Ok after you Finally get them open. Takes two hands and a little bend to the pen to open. As for appearances, they look extremely cheap. Won't but again and for sure would Not recommend.

Great locking diaper pins
I use Dritz Safety Diaper Pins for many, many things around my house and not one is used on diapers! I use them to keep the sheets on my bed in place. I use them to keep the belts attached to my bathrobes. And I use them to attach my scarves to the outfits they best match. But the most important thing that I use them for is attaching my bedroom door keys to my underwear. I know that it sounds weird, but it's a safety issue. I invited my daughter, my son by marriage, and my granddaughter to move in with me. My daughter had an opioid addiction and my granddaughter is 12. By using Dritz Safety Pins, I know that my keys will stay on my person. I keep my prescriptions and my handguns in a safe in my room. BTW, they have been living with me for two years and I have never had one of these Diaper Pins fail. They have a lock. The plastic part has to slide up to open and down to lock.

Just What I Was Looking For!
I just got my order of 2 pkgs of Dritz Baby-Safe Diaper Pins. I was very pleased to compare them to my diaper pins of 40 years ago. They are just as heavy steel only with plastic caps instead of metal. I was searching for some safety pins that were heavier than the cheap, crappy, Chinese-made safety pins that are the only ones out there. Those are so weak and thin, and I am afraid of them coming open. That's why I went to look at diaper pins with caps. These are made in Malaysia by the Prym Group, and seem far superior to the garbage out of China. The U.S. manufacturers with factories in China are not doing us a favor by producing such cheap goods. I wish these Dritz pins had steel caps, but even if the plastic caps crack off the pin is still far better than the Chinese pins. And, mine are very sharp unlike one of the other reviewer's experience.

Does the job
Not as strong as I was hoping but I make them work. I am using extra thick nappies so maybe that's why they dont work well

The shape is important.
These were exactly what I was looking for. They have a slight curve to them which makes them easier to use.

2 works 2 don't
2 worked, 2 won't open. The plastic casing has quite sharp edges too.
