This is my favorite protein shake. I prefer nondairy and low carb and this is it. I feel like all non-dairy protein shakes. Have a weird flavor to a certain extent, but Orgain is the least objectionable. I really like that. It has 20 g of protein. I would love for there to be a version that has even more protein and calories if that would be possible. They are expensive but I can buy them more cheaply elsewhere. I think overall they’re worth the price for the amount of protein they have. My only complaint is that they don’t seal the spout to the carton very well and it leaks all the time when I’m drinking it.

I was searching for a way to pack more protein into my diet but I don’t eat dairy products. This packs 20g of protein and can be enjoyed at room temp or chilled, so very convenient. Yes, I love a chocolate milk shakes and this is very satisfying, chocolaty, thick and creamy. There is a slight aftertaste, but it goes away quickly.

I am allergic to dairy proteins, so that limits the market. These have a thickening ingredient that upsets my stomach And spoils the flavor for me. I should have recognized it, but I needed the product. Let them be thinner without the ingredient. I am giving them away. Sorry...

Best tasting vegan shakes I’ve tried

Oh what have you done??? I was a loyal Orgain customer for a long time, using the 20gbplant based protein shakes with 50 super foods. I really liked it! But it seems it has been taken out of production, so searching ingredients, it appeared this one was the closest match. I couldn't be more wrong! Instead of the creamy chocolatey shake I'm used to, I got gritty, nasty tasting whatever this thing is, and I'm NOT HAPPY! Trying to describe the flavor is like trying to describe the smell of a salad that sat in the fridge so long it started to decompose... With an aftertaste reminiscent of a dental injection... anybody remember that taste? Not sure if it was the shot, or the cleaning agent. In any case, it's an odd chemical taste that does not belong in food! Reading the ingredients list here, I notice the protein is derived solely from peas. My previous version used a combination of peas and pumpkin seeds. Perhaps that why this one has such an overwhelming taste of peas... Albeit rotting peas... Which reminds me of the years I lived in the Palouse region of SE Washington State, where peas were a large portion of the crops grown there. Driving out on the back roads one was often unfortunate enough to come up behind one of the "pea trucks". Oh did they ever stink,like rotting silage. I suppose it was, as it was actually the pea vines being hauled away after the harvest. Hmm...Orgain, are you grinding up the pea vines in this too? WELL, STOP IT! THAT'S GROSS!!!

I love these protein shakes because they are packed with protein, nutrients and taste pretty great! Another plus is that the packaging is recyclable. They are a little sweet tasting for me, but there is not actually any sugar for in it. I figure the benefits far outweigh the slight sweetness. I highly recommend. They've been incredibly helpful to me during busy day at work when I don't have time to stop and have a full meal.

Be careful when ordering if you are looking for the shakes Costco used to sell. I mistakenly ordered the shakes that did not have the pink “superfoods “ label and cannot believe how different they are from the ones I used to get from Costco. They are really a dark chocolate , bitter, grainy and just overall not good. I’m going to try to use them but will never make that mistake again. Based on the comments section, I don’t know why Costco stopped carrying them as clearly so many of us were buying them.
