HemCalm Ointment

I have used prep H for years when I get the occasional hemmy. I’ve never been super impressed with the relief from it - it was just better than nothing and way to get quickly. I have to admit that I was surprised that when I put this HemCalm on, it did help a bit more. Still sore, but much more relief than the prep H. I think a lot of that comes down to the Vaseline consistency of the HemCalm. It stays in place better and doesn’t squish out and become thinned like the prep H does. This isn’t a magic bullet for me, but I would buy this again over prep H for the better consistency and natural ingredients. Thanks! :)

So most of us have had a hemorrhoid or two in our lives. Im talking about the actual real hemorrhoids, not those people that you compare to a hemorrhoid. :) This cream is a lifesaver. It soothes, calms, and helps heal your pesky unwelcome guests that make sitting, standing, and just life in general miserable. I personally think this product works better than the prescription cream my doctor prescribed. I have tried so many products over the years and this one by far is the best. It is a thick consistency and is greasy but with hot water and soap it washes away easily. There is no scent, and application couldn't be easier. Price is comparable to other products, but I do feel this product lasts longer. Overall it is a relief and I will gladly continue using it. Might even try putting it on those human hemorrhoids and see how it works. 😏

I developed hemorrhoids after dealing with a severe cough that just would not go away, and I was looking for a more holistic approach to treatment. I’ve used this brand before for other things, including when my daughter was teething, so I felt comfortable trying this product. The ointment did provide relief from discomfort, which was the most important thing for me. That said, the texture is quite greasy. It goes on smoothly but stays slippery for a while, which felt uncomfortable when walking. There was also no cooling effect at all, which I was expecting based on other products I’ve tried. Ingredient wise, I liked that it leans more toward a homeopathic, plant based approach rather than strong medicated ingredients, which is what initially drew me to it. There’s no strong or unpleasant odor. I did notice slight stinging right after application, and it did stain my underwear, so I highly recommend using a long panty liner while treating the area. My biggest concern was the packaging. The bottom of the box was broken off when it arrived. The tube itself was sealed and did not appear tampered with, so it could have been a one time issue, but it was still concerning for a product used on such a sensitive area. I hesitated but ultimately used it because I needed quick relief. Overall, it helped and I did find relief, but the greasiness and packaging issue are important things to be aware of before purchasing.

This ointment works really fast to calm irritation and burning. It is paraben-free and feels very gentle on sensitive skin. A great natural option that actually works!

I love this brand so much! They are all non toxic plant based and all the products work so well. This ointment is a little greasy, but it is effective. It helps my discomfort and itchiness from hemorrhoids. It’s easy to use, you only need a little bit at a time. I will say preparation H is stronger than this, I don’t like using chemical based but maybe this could be stronger? I also notice I get quicker relief with just a cotton ball drenched in witch hazel though.

Some background first, so u know my journey from hell to heaven. It wasn't until I got pregnant that i had the distinct and horrible pleasure of becoming acquainted with the monster known as Roids. I've only had them rise from the darkness and ascend upon me like a vengeful hellhound twice since giving birth 16 years ago. The first time wasn't so bad, lasted a day and witch hazel was my savior, but the second (most recent) occurrence lasted 2 months. Every morning, it felt like i was passing petty sociopathic angry mutant razor blades. The pain was focused on my booty hole (barely inside, partly out). I tried every single cream, ointment, suppository, and pill. Of them all, the Prep H brand, as a whole, was the absolute bane of my existence. Its A common OTC brand and did nothing for me at all. It lasts only minutes for pain relief and didn't shrink nor heal the roids at all. 2 months of suffering, completely gone in 4 days (really 3) with Boiron's HemCalm. As soon as U apply it, it takes the pain the away, For hours. You'll feel A bit of discomfort, as it wears off, just slather on some more. A small amount goes a long way. The first 2 days, Everytime I went to the bathroom to pee, i would gently wipe the ointment off with witch hazel wipes and apply more, so i did way more than the directions said. I ate nothing but cooked soft veggies with some chicken and shrimp for meat for these 4 days. No beans, no oatmeal, no bread, no rice/pasta, and no bananas. Drink lots of water. Water, no juice, soda, or coffee. Trust me. My bowel movements are regular, the easier u make it for your booty hole to pass anything, the better. By day 3, my roids had shrunk and were gone. But I like to be thorough, so i went for a day 4 to be sure. No other brand has worked like Boiron's ointment. One tube will be enough. I bought another on day 4 to have on hand for the future. Just in case. I truly hope this helps. Take a breath. Try the HemCalm. Free yourself of suffering.

Works like magic.i used a different product which increased the burning and irritation. Washed the area well and put this ointment.in almost 6 hours it reduced the burning , irritation, pain and my suffering. I used another 7 or 8 prescriptions & off the shelf the best of them gave a temporary relief sensation. The ointment is thick which covers and protects the affected area .this is not !y first product from boiron and this brand never let me down.
