Loretta Lynn: Coal Miner's Daughter Paperback – September 21, 2010

My roommate read this book 4-5 times and really enjoyed the book now my roommate has a new book called Me and Patsy by Loretta Lynn

A good read that sounds like she spoke straight from her heart. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is there seem to be some inaccuracies about some of the dates and age she was when she got married. Overall I recommend this to any fan of hers. Very good.

I liked the cover. I didn’t like the print. I have trouble seeing if it’s not large print and Coal Miners Daughter doesn’t come in large print.

Great read about the First Lady of country music; candor, humor and humility along with strength and great beauty from this overcomer example of a woman. Blessed to have been in the same time period this great lady and her special way of becoming your friend through writing and song. Thank you, Loretta, God bless

I enjoyed the whole story about Loretta. Learned so much about the life she lived. Really got the impression she would have liked a more normal life. Miss her!

I read Coal miners daughter when it first came out. I decided to read it again. This is an updated version, so I'm glad I bought. I had no problem with the grammar, her country girl language. She said she did not have a lot of education. More about that later. She used that sentence far too often. I do not believe she had no idea what sex was when she married. What did she think the monthly bleeding was? I grew up in the country also. We had cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens and ducks. I know something happened to make babies happen. I did not know what or how but I was aware there was something even at a young age.

If you like Loretta you will like this book. Simple.

A Christmas present for my nan who loves Loretta Lynn's music and can watch the film over and over again. She was very happy with it and tells me she likes to sit in bed with a glass of Baileys in one hand and the book in the other lol.Delivery was speedy, so all in all, very happy.

Saw the film lots of times but the book was great

An excellent read, the life and times, hardships and all of one of my all time country favourites. I would recommend this book to anyone with a interest in all things country.
