Interesting and informative
My daughter (8) enjoyed this book; I find the format disrupts the flow of the narrative - I’m never sure when to read the dormouse’s interjections! And the fact about banning the eating of dormice, with no context as to why, was irritatingly disjointed and intriguing.

This is a great easy read, for readers young or old all you need, to get started !
Brilliant book for adults least of all children, well written, well researched & simplified history of Roman times, kings, & gods, emperors but incidentally no empresses just dormouses? Well whether a females place is best at home or in the bedroom remains unanswered, but developmentally The Roman ages were not an easy time, & neither was warring, with themselves their illnesses & ailments, & insane leaders & grielling, & often cruel world they inhabit in ancient times, least of all fighting, beating their even more wicked, & cruel enemies & foreign powers then as well as now, best & most easy reading knowledgeable book on Roman lives & mythos, a child or adult will ever read, is a great gift from a important author! Five, stars!
