In my top 5 best books
One of the best books I’ve read. Story of trying to be true to yourself, even when you are not sure what that looks like anymore. Moving on and rebuilding a life that’s meaningful to you, even though not what Western culture would say is.Full of adventure, fly fishing, golf and unexpected good friends .Beautifully written

A top Ten Book
Joe Mix is 50 years old and he is mad as hell. As he looks over his life he sees a failed loveless marriage, two grown sons who he feels he has failed as a father and practicing denistry, a profession he has loathed from the very beginning. He has it all.....money, a big house, respect in his community and all the trappings of sucess but he is miserable. Finally he snaps and one day he calls his wife a "mercenary life-sucking bitch", loads his old beat up Ford pickup with his some fishing and camping gear and hits the road in search of the meaning of life.Joe heads West from Minnesota and along his journey we meet alot of memorable characters, and experience a wonderful search for redemption. This story is full of so much emotion that it made me happy, sad, laugh alot and yes even made me cry! As I put this book down I know that there are so many unforgettable scenes and passages in it that will stay with for a very long time.If you spend any time at all contemplating your own life and wonder about its meaning you will love this book. I am older than Joe Mix now but the shackles are all gone now and I am planning my own search for what I have missed along the journey of life...Read this book....It is outstanding!

Finding Life In The Tough Places
This masterfully written book drew me in from the start. As a retired dentist and flyfisherman from Montana, I got pulled in deep. This book was so fun and emotionally deep, I found myself laughing often and crying as often. Nathan was able to draw skillfully from life and land and creature and man to create amazing relationships that touched deeply. One of the most enjoyable books I have ever read and I’ve read a lot.
