Paper Blossoms: A Book of Beautiful Bouquets for the Table

I bought five of these paper blossoms books. I'm very pleased and happy with these Ray Marshall books. The colors, patterns, cuts of these paper flower arrangements just amaze me. I also like the diversity of the five flower arrangements - ranging from Hawaiian, tropical, Asian, Victorian England, etc. feel. You can stare in awe at the details of these paper blossom bouquets for a long period of time. I recently gave this book as part of a birthday present to my co-worker, and she really loved the book (she loves flowers and making cards). I love pop-up books because I'm always fascinated by all the time and details pop-up book artists put into their work. I'm so very thankful that Ray Marshall made this book. This book is absolutely one of the best things to give as a gift. It's something that lasts forever. This book is better than a card and it's better than dealing with the waste and guilt of having dead flowers. I truly can't think of any household that wouldn't put this book to good decorative use. This book definitely gets people's attention. When I gave this book to my co-worker, this book stopped my boss in her tracks, and she asked, "What's that?" All of Ray Marshall's paper blossom bouquets caught her attention, and she thought it was a good idea as well. I'm happy with the size of the book and flower arrangements. And I like how the elastic holder keeps the pages and book protected. This book is a conversation starter, and is elegant, beautiful, unique, and different. It's definitely a keepsake book that belongs with all your photo albums. Like I said before, this book is such a great concept. I'm so happy that someone like Ray Marshall was able to turn this idea and book into a reality for all of us to appreciate and enjoy. I really don't know how Ray Marshall is going to top this book, but I'm looking forward to any future work from this man!

I have bought three of this esquisite book. One for myself, the two others for some friends. I love pop-up books and collect them. This one is different from the others, though, as it mainly serves a decoration purpose, at a very reasonable price in my opinion. It will not stay in the bookshelf but open on a table in my living-room. Inside, there is no text, no story or whatsoever but five magnificent flower arrangements to be set on the table. The book is much larger as I imagined. The colors and the shapes look realistic, the paper engineering is far above average and how surprisingly beautiful it looks! These flowers will never wilt and make a perfect gift.I really hope that there will be other decoration pop-up books like this one.

I love pop-up books and am always adding to my collection. When I came across this book on Amazon, I decided to purchase one as a gift for someone special. She was delighted to receive it! I actually watched her expression as she opened the book, and then her expressions of delight as she flipped through the pages - that alone was worth the price!There are five gorgeous pop-up bouquets in this book, true masterpieces and a reflection of quality paper engineering. There is a bouquet of spring flowers; an array of bright, tropical flowers; a floating lotus garden; a vase of lilies in vivid hues; and, a delightful bunch of roses. The colors are in turns vibrant and muted, and the paper engineering is amazing. The book can be opened to any one of the bouquets and set upon a desk or any even top to be displayed as a beautiful arrangement. I intend on getting one for myself and giving many more to friends as gifts!

I have purchased 12 of these books and keep giving my own away when I see the need. You can open this book and have a centerpiece for your table because theelastic strap connected to the book holds your selection in place. A variety of 3D floral arrangements pop up to delight young and old alike. I gave Papaer Blossomsto a friend in a rest home who did not have room to keep a lot of plants. They are there to enjoy then close the book and hide them out of site. I have a collection of pop up book that are spectacular and this is one of my top two favorites. It is fun to let children pick the bouquet of the day in the class room or at home. You can evenhave students make drawings looking at these arrangements when fresh flowers are not available.

This pop-up is appropriate for adults. It is truly beautiful and amazing... especially the arrangement with the bird of paradise. I bought one of these for my 86 year old aunt, and since she no longer wants to deal with live flowers, it worked out very well for her. She loves it and cannot wait to show her friends at the senior center. There are green elastic straps attached to the covers so each arrangement can be held open for display. This item would be perfect for someone in a nursing facility or hospital as most no longer allow fresh flowers.Keep in mind that these books sometimes need to be "teased" into submission (to pop up correctly). They are sometimes glued together where they should not be or not glued where they ought to be. I order many of these and find that it is a good idea to go through each one before presenting it as a gift. I purchased six different ones this Christmas and only one was perfect but all the others were perfect with just a little help.

Dieses Buch ist wirklich ein Kunstwerk. Ich kann einfach nicht genug bekommen, durch die Seiten zu blättern und zu beobachten, wie sich die Blumen auf den Seiten entfalten, wenn man die Seiten langsam und vorsichtig auf klappt. Vor allem bin ich wirklich erfreut, für verhältnismäßig wenig Geld ein so schön verarbeitetes Produkt zu bekommen. Die Pappe ist auch stabiler, als man auf den ersten Blick vermutet. Man kann die Blumen gut anfassen, ohne dass sie gleich kaputt gehen. Jedoch sollte man bei dem Buch trotzdem ein bisschen aufpassen, vor allen wenn es Kinder in den Händen haben. Der Blumenstrauß mit den Schmetterlingen ist am anfälligsten. Wenn man das zu heftig anfasst oder zu schnell auf oder zu klappt, kann es sein, dass ich die Papiermechanismen so verhaken, dass sie sich nicht mehr so gut zusammen falten können.Fazit: ein wunderschönes Buch, was ich nur weiter empfehlen kann. Dieses Buch ist jedoch sehr filigran, deshalb sollte man ein bisschen darauf achten, vor allem wenn es sich Kinder anschauen wollen. Alles im allem ist es aber wirklich gut verarbeitet und es macht wirklich Spaß, sich das anzugucken.

Bought to give it to my mother on mother's day.She loved so much the book that gave me a 5 minutes tight hug.Why can't I rate this book with 10 stars? :-)It's one of the best pop-up books I ever saw and now I must own one also.Beside that, you can also use it for decoration. Each day you can have a diferent bouquet over the table...Go buy one for you, for someone you love, or for someone that love flowers!It's a Must!!!
