Using it as a guitar and bass mini amp.
I was looking for a pedalboard power amp. And they aren't too cheap for not a lot of power. Fortunately I'm always buying these component amps and stuff for projects so these popped into my feed. I figured for the price I will find something to use them for if they don't work out. They work awesome, with a 8 amp 24v power supply this gets plenty loud driving a couple 10 and 15 inch speakers. I just use a small mixing board as vol control/fx loop. Your milage my vary but for me I'm happy.

Nice for the price.
One of the two works really well. The second item works well until I push tens of watts through it then it shuts off until I bring the power back down. I don't feel heat on the sink so I am wondering if there is an overvoltage setting on it. The other channel gets the same power and is not affected. I would give five stars if supplier contacts me and swaps the one board with a fully functional one. The price for two is really good. Youtube testers got 98W out of this. I did not confirm if that was peak or RMS power. I agree with the other positive reviewers on this product. I also agree with the unfortunate incident of the person who got the probability of two not working. You are betting on the distribution of getting one that works (or both). I think you will have a good chance. I am driving 6 ohm, 50 Watt RMS, Dayton speakers with these amplifiers. One amplifier per speaker, so in mono configuration. The amplifiers are driving those speakers just fine. My source of sound is a record player from amazon. I don't readily have the make and model, but it has a preamplifier inside and I am tapping off the RCA Left channel and right channel for each audio amplifier we are discussing. I am runnint 24VDC into these amplifiers. UPDATE: I had a potentiometer for volume between my pre-amplifier and this amplifier that was causing reflection and causing one channel to over-voltage (I think) and shut off. I just turned the resistance all the way down and controlled volume through the pre-amp. Now the channel pumps power no problem. No cut-out

Nice, but something to consider.
Nice and cost effective little boards. Easy to use. I'm taking off one star because the power is not the stated 100 watts if you run anything higher than 4 ohm. Manufacturers need to be up front about the nominal power you get a various ohm loads. You get 50 watts at 8 ohms. Cheers.

good value
It maxes out at 16.5Vrms, or 46.6V peak to peak, from a 262mVAC input with a 21 - 24V DC supply with no load.

Two phase output produces 100 W as advertized.
Worked as advertized for me. I bought two and I've been using one successfully for several months. Note that these are two phase amplifiers meaning that the two output wires are driven with opposite polarity signals thus doubling the voltage across the speaker and quadrupling the power. "Amazon customer" that showed screenshots of their scope measuring the output power did not take this into account. The 45 Watts they got was incorrect, they actually were getting 180 W !! I tested using a 24V supply and found that into 8 ohms I was able to get a nice sinewave at 40 Vp-p before clipping. That means 28 Vrms (for two phase) and thus 100W of power. I did not test for very long so I don't know how long it can maintain 100 W without thermal issues but I mainly want the headroom for clean attacks in percussive sound and it works well for that.

This is NOT the real TPA3116D2 chip. It's the 16-pin rip-off version.
The chip does say "TPA3116D2DADR" but this is not true. There is NO spec sheet online for a 16-pin version. The real chip has 32 pins with more features and power handling and would have a big thermal pad for this heat-sink. This giant heat sink on this tiny, wrong chip is just to hide the deception. Instead, buy the 60W TPA3118 boards where you can see the real chip on it, which is also 32 pin. There are fakes of those, too. And these fakes HISS and do not deliver the advertised power. Look for a bolted-on heatsink for real versions of TPA3116.

work ok for the price
one of them was damaged. it appears one of the large filter caps was busted from the circuit board. If they were to package these in a safer manner they would have less issues. I have used these amps before and they work pretty good when they DO work.

Short story... it works
Make sure your power supply is up to the task in both voltage and current. I'm using a switching supply @ 24VDC, 4A. I'm pushing 35W, so this is enough power supply for my application. Do the research, the math, and size the power supply to fit your application. I am using this board in a home brew tube guitar amp. All of the tone comes from the pre-amp, so I just need something that will drive the current through the speaker. It's set to deliver 35W into 4 ohms. (35W is louder than you think) I bought this board's smaller cousin (60W) which had a little chip but no heat sync. That one worked well until I started to really dig in. Then, it cooked. THIS board however isn't even breaking a sweat. Maybe it's the chip, maybe it's the heat sync, maybe some combination of both. Either way, I hit the amp hard at full volume for a couple of hours, and this board didn't even break a sweat. Sound quality - for my application, it sounds good. It's transparent and the tone from the tube pre-amp goes right through the board to the speakers.

Good vslue
Surprising very good performance Using 18 volts to bench test.

very well made and versatile amplifier. Wired it up to 18V supply and it worked perfectly.
Compact, well made, works perfectly
