Porsche 911

My 5yr old grandson assembled most of it under my supervision . It is vital to read the book prior to assembly as some details have a very specific order which is not immediately obvious. Fitting the cams and rockers requires adult intervention but the rest is fiddly but fascinating for a child with good manual dexterity .

This was a Christmas present for my brother. When it arrived I thought the sticky box seals looked suspect like it had already been opened at some point and the box was a bit bashed on the corners. After reading other reviews about missing or damaged parts I told him to check the contents thoroughly before attempting to build it in case I needed to return it. As you can see from the photo, some of the parts are severely deformed and not moulded correctly. I will be returning this and requesting a replacement. I will update the review if the replacement also has issues. This is extremely unacceptable for an official Porsche product at this kind of price! The least they could do is check the parts before putting them in the box. I am still unsure if this may have been a return from another dissatisfied customer due to the condition of the box and contents, which would mean this has escaped quality control twice! Either way, purchase at your own risk and check it thoroughly. Hopefully Amazon’s reasonable returns policy will rectify the situation to some degree, but still does not excuse the manufacturer.

The crankshaft is badly distorted and when i powered up the model the motor gear will not engage the crank so it will not turn. how do i go about getting a replacement crankshaft please, .

Generally, this has great potential but I am afraid the quality was poor (especially considering the staggering price) and after hours of the building did not work. A few of the plastic panel parts were slightly bent and there seems to be a build issue where in order to get the distributor gears to properly align there is a gap left between the smaller distributor gear and the crankshaft gear B (shown in the photo). Upon completion, there seems to be too much resistance on the crankshaft so the gear attached to the motor that powers the model grinds against the gear on the crankshaft. All in all very disappointing. Instructions were followed to the letter.

Very dissatisfied parts missing two of the same part numbers cannot complete the build. Part number 52 two of the same part 53. Very disappointing bad quality control not good for Porsche and the maker Frainz. I would not buy any more products from this manufacturer.

one of the worst quality items i have come across…for the money you expect a lot lot better. i have bought £10 models that are better. ht lead lights only 1 of 6 work. broken parts in the kit.

Ik sluit mij aan bij het Engelse commentaar van 16 jan 2021. ik heb het zelfde probleem bij het bouwen van de motor. De distributeur die de bougie LED moet laten werken functioneert niet omdat de tandwielen niet in elkaar grijpen. Alle andere onderdelen en de motor functioneren prima, maar het is jammer dat de LED's van de bougieslampjes niet goed functioneren. ik heb contact gehad met franzis en zij zeggen dart ik de boel strakker moet aanschroeven en nauwkeuriger moet plaatsen Dit durf ik echter niet en ik heb de boel goed geplaatst .Ik denk dat er gewoon een fabricagefout zit in het ontwerp. Bij andere ontwerpen van Franzis zoals de V8 en de BMW R90 ben ik dit niet tegen gekomen. Ik heb net weer contact gehad met Francis en zij blijven beweren dat het op te lossen moet zijn. Ze horen wel meer over dit probleem maar doen er wel alles aan om je te helpen. Ik ga het dus nog ff proberen

Todo bien excepto que en vez de la pegatina de descripción que dice el manual que trae, viene con una lámina en blanco, como si no se hubiese grabado, me gustaría que Amazon me enviase la pegatina que falta y al ser ellos vendedores tienes que solicitar la devolución, no quiero cambiar mi producto, quiero que me envíen lo que falta LA PEGATINA, no encuentro otra opción para escribir más que está, así que por favor Amazon enviame la pegatina o cambiaré las estrellas; El producto en si está genial, cumple con las expectativas, la caja es muy bonita y resistente, viene vista por lo que si es un regalo debes indicarlo, las piezas están muy curradas, trae un manual impresionante, muy bonito, que hace honor a la marca y su historia lo único que viene en Alemán e inglés pero hay vídeos de montaje en Youtube, absolutamente todo lo que viene en la caja está perfectamente enumerado y envuelto, trae su propio destornillador imantado y tornillos de sobra, NO TRAE PILAS que no lo indica en la descripción, las pilas que necesita son 2 de las AA, tiene luz y un sonido bastante conseguido. Es el regalo perfecto para un apasionado del motor. Lo volvería a comprar. P.D: Amazon recuerda la pegatina 🧐

Aún lo estoy ensamblando, y las instrucciones no son claras. (tomé fotos, pero no sé subirlas, soy de la 3a edad)
