Function fun instrument
I love this ocarina. It is good quality and the case is nice. The tone is nice an willowy. The highest notes can be a bit airy but I think as I learn more that will get better. With my small hands I can reach the holes. It’s not easy but it can be done. I love this thing!

Really good deal and plays quite nicely, but looks more redish than the picture.
The Ocarina is not how it looks in the picture. It is more red and brownish than black. But it still looks very nice and has a nice finish to it. The notes play very well after a bit of playing and breaking the Ocarina in. The high notes sound nice and Vibratos are easy to perform, but the low notes are really quiet and are poorly tuned. The mouthpiece was a bit cracked on the inside so it sometimes makes a squeaky sound (like air escaping) on the low notes. The case is really nice and thick to protect the Ocarina and it also came with a very traditional looking carrying strap. Overall it's a pretty nice deal and a good upgrade from a plastic ocarina, for the price you can't get any better. It looks nice as well as plays pretty nice after you wear in the Ocarina.

My new favorite
It's as good as another much more expensive 12-hole alto C ocarina I have. The tones are clear and strong for the full range. They are all slightly flat, but my other ocarinas are slightly sharp. The cure is to blow harder to raise a pitch, or softer to lower a pitch. What I lke best about the dragon tooth is the ergonomics. I can hold it more like an inline ocarina (though not entirely), which is less tiring for my left hand. It comes with a nice padded pouch with a loop on the back for passing a belt through. It also comes with a beaded neck strap, though I don't use neck straps. The instruction booklet has fingering for ocarinas in three different keys" C, G and G. You only need the C for this one. It also includes songs, which I haven't tried. This is my new favorite, and is a real bargain.

Great Sound, wonderful authentic look, but watch for chips or defects
When it first arrived I thought the package was rather heavy, this was exciting to me because I knew it would probably be very good quality. I was correct in this assumption, however after a quick inspection I noticed it had a small chip in the very top, exposing the white ceramic underneath. I'm not an expert but once there's a chip in ceramic or any other Stone, the rest of the stone is also compromised and weakened but I did not return it. I just took a black Sharpie marker and colored over it, you can't even tell where the chip was now. The Ocarina sounds great, however your finger placement must be both exact and firmly in place. I noticed after about a half an hour or hour of practice my hands hurt badly, probably until I get it down better and build the muscle memory. However, with about just an hour of practice I was able to play Zelda's Lullaby perfectly from beginning to end and my brother and friends were impressed. I find it helps to stand while playing this instrument, even walking around dancing like an elf in the woods type thing, I know it sounds crazy but just standing and moving around helps me play it better. Get into it is what I'm saying.
