Quite possibly. It's light, steamy, and a lot of fun. Landish knows how to write a rom com, with playful antics and a heavy dose of sexy. This brother's best friend/fake relationship romance is lighthearted and everything you could want from the trope - it's definitely a play on a familiar storyline, but distinctly the author's style. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The story follows Kaede, a gym owner who is seeking out a business partner to build the brand. When a potential investor hints that the deal will only be sealed if Kaede dates his over the top daughter, Kaede panics and claims he's engaged. The only woman who comes to mind is his best friend's little sister, Courtney. She's considered to be a workaholic and a bit of an ice queen, but neither of those things deters Kaede. He's always found her attractive, but bro code means that she's completely off-limits. But when Courtney agrees to go along with the ruse and her longtime crush on Kaede is exposed, it makes things even more complicated. I love both fake relationship and brother's best friend romances, so this combination really worked for me. It's low angst and a lot sexy, with more steam than you typically find in a rom com but all of the other things I love about the genre. Landish was able to give the relationship plenty of depth, so while there were a couple of times when I thought the lust was overtaking the story, it settled into a nice, heartwarming read. It moves quickly and stays fun throughout with minimal angst. While this is part of a series, it's easily read as a standalone - though those who are familiar with the series will love the involvement of characters from the previous books. If you're looking for a light, STEAMY rom com, then this is certainly worth a read. I received an ARC via the author (then purchased it for my collection) and am voluntarily leaving a review of this light romance. Review: Fake romance turned real - Good book! Courtney and Kaede have known each other forever. Kaede is Courtney’s brother’s best friend and business partner. Courtney is heir to Andrews Holdings, a billion dollar company. While look to expand their business, Kaede and Ross sign with an investor, and he infers Kaede should marry his father. Kaede says he’s already engaged to Courtney and the games begin. Kaede and Courtney are entertaining characters and the story flows well. This is a very enjoyable book. Lauren really did a good job with developing all the characters and keeping them rememberable. The story about the shrimp in the enemy’s apartment grossed me out and made me wish I had a friend who knew such devious plans! My only criticism of this book is that it starts dragging at about 89%. The climax happens early and the last 11% drags. A few more sex scenes could have kept the story moving a little better at the end. Overall, this is a good book. The plot is well developed and enjoyable. I definitely think you should give it a go. Happy reading y’all!!

book 2 another great read with an HEA
I never have to worry when I buy Lauren’s books. They are always well written, funny, and pull you in from the beginning and push me to finish them fast (1-2 days) max. Overview: Kaede and Courtney’s story. Kaede is Ross’s best friend and partner for school, work, and now starting a new gym business. Courtney is Ross’s youngest sister and worked at the family company and took over the VP roll. But Courtney has always had a crush on him, but knew it would be hard to cross the lines between work and boyfriend. But when Kaede and Ross go into a business deal for their new gym and the investor wants his daughter to date Kaede to date, Kaede takes a stand and tell him he can’t since he is engaged to Courtney. After the meeting Ross freaks out and Kaede has to convince Courtney to go along with being his future wife and play his current girlfriend. The two find perfect rhythm in life except 1 part….Kaede feels he will never be good enough for her since he was raised poor and by a single mom, even though the Andrews (Ross’s family) love him for who he really is. But will he ever over come that and except Courtney as an equal partner?

This books is romantic and sweet
Courtney is a sophisticated businesswoman who works hard and downs thane any time for fun. She has the hots for her brother's best friend, Kaede. After an oops, he announces they are engaged, much to her brother's surprise. The fake engagement works out after they hash out the details. Courtney agrees to go along with it even though she secretly is in love or lust with Kaede. Everything is going great in their fake engagement until someone drops an unexpected bomb. Can they fix it, or will it be the end? Since this book focuses primarily on Courtney and Kaede. I loved how it was in the dual point of view, jumping between their thoughts. This really helped me to better understand both character's personalities and quirks. They really were a match made in heaven, and the sorry is very written. I do love a happy ending, and this story didn't disappoint. They had quite a few hurdles to get thru. Still, the author incorporated those very well in the stories And the character's personalities.

This story will have you smiling, laughing and swooning from the moment you open the book. Seriously, you won’t want to stop. I’ve never been so sad to see, the end!! So much fun! This is a cute, funny, sexy story! Had just the right balance of sweet, sexy, fun and spicy read! Pure entertainment! I loved this book and series, can’t wait for Abi’s book to come out. I also absolutely adore Lauren’s beautifully crafted stories, her characters are so likeable. I never feel disappointed with her books, they always catch my attention 100% and I find her wonderful descriptive writing so enjoyable to read. Well done Lauren Landish on another spectacular book. Totally deserves more than the five stars 🌟 I can give. So do yourself a favour and pick up this romcom, it will definitely make you smile and brighten up your day. Happy reading everyone!!

Loved how they loved each other, but took an announcement to finally admit to each other and every one, they loved each other, and Courtney convinced Kaede he was great. Sure wish I had read books in right order, but still going to read about Ross and Violet!

Kaede and Courtney both have feelings for each other. Kaede won't act on them because he thinks he's not good enough for her and he is also best friends and business partners with her brother. Courtney won't do anything because she is a workaholic and doesn't think he would be interested in her. What started out as a fake engagement gave them the courage to take the next step for real.

It was good but not as good as my big fat fake wedding . The writing was good but there was too much description and I felt that the book could've finished 5 chapters prior.

Well what is there to say about Keade and Courtney except that they are awesome and beautiful and just the greatest couple ever! Loved it!
