Easy reading
This is not only a review of this book but also of the reviews, I wonder as to why someone who doesn't believe in God would read this book? And then review on it, doesn't make any sense? Then someone else complains about how it is built or made (the price being very reasonable for a decent book of this caliber) and not the work of conveying the words? It's important When people try taking the words of God and the messiah into a form for people to read, but then someone else comes along and calls it TRASH that someone had better be careful! There will be complainers that will just complain no matter what, forgetting the words of the messiah. There are many versions of the words of the bible and many around the world but to say only English versions count, goes against what the messiah said, ( Oh by the way he spoke Hebrew not English and is a Jew ) here is a verse of his words being translated into English Matt. 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be published in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then the end shall come." a witness to all nations can't happen if they all don't know how to read English or Hebrew just their native language.I've been believing close to 50 years now and have a copy of the Holy Name Bible a KJV version printed in 1963 I've always enjoyed this bible it is alongside of the many others I have. Today we have many sacred name versions to choose from with an explosion over the last 20 years, to recommend one over another can be hard at times not everyone wants to be a Hebrew scholar some would like to just read the words of our Father and his Son and this version the 'Proper Name Version of the KING JAMES BIBLE' does just that and more that’s the reason why there are many 5 stars in the reviews. It is a Bible written well and priced so many people can afford it, Bibles can and do get expensive this is well worth the money but even more so for the words.

YHWH/Yahweh/Jehovah is the name of The LORD.
The God (Elohim: noun) of Israel is on the pages of the Old Testament in Hebrew as the name YHWH (pronoun), often transliterated to "The LORD" in English. YHWH is in the OT 6800ish times whereas Elohim (God) is only in the 2500's. This means that not only does this God have a name (name a religion that has a god without a name), but He wants His name known more than the fact He is God. He wants to be a personal "Abba Father", and Jesus constantly spoke of the Father, teaching to pray to the Father whose name is "hallowed/holy".Because of traditions and fear, many did not want to say the name of God. For instance: You can't take the name of Yahweh in vain or use it improperly if you don't say it! 1 out of 10 Commandments already achieved by loophole! But God clearly wanted His name known. Proverbs 18:20 says: The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run into it, and is safe. The original King James uses "The LORD". What is the name of The LORD, if I can run into it and be safe! So, not only does this bible use Yahweh in YHWH instances instead of "The LORD", it also calls Jesus Yahshua, which means: A saving cry to Yah, or perhaps: Yah heard our cry for salvation, echoing Exodus when God heard the cry of Israel against Egypt. This firmly places Yah'shua/Jesus as the Messiah/Christ predicted in biblical prophesy. Yah'havah/Yehovah/Yehowah/YHWH/Yahweh/Iawe/Jehovah means: He causes to become. But that is not all! In the New Testament quotes of the Old Testament that contained YHWH, the Greek often used Kyrios/Lord, so translations like the ASV and HCSB did not carry over LORD or Yahweh/Jehovah in quotes of Old Testament passages, choosing instead Lord, which can confuse to say the least. So in Acts 2 quoting Joel 2, we get The Day of the Lord Yahweh, and in Acts 2:22 we hear more about Yahshua of Nazareth. You can argue doctrines and how this applies, and that even a root of bitterness for many, but why not have Yahweh instead of The LORD? Even if the pronunciation might be off in English, at least it is a name and not a title, and a translation instead of a transliteration! God wanted to speak personally to those in the bible and also today as well.

Excellent, Accurate, Readable, Name-Honoring Bible
As I write this review, I have been using this Bible for about 6 months or more, and it's my steady go-to Bible that I use for daily reading. I like that it's readable but hasn't strayed away from the true meanings of most of the KJV wordings. I love the substitution of the different names of God in the text, it helps me to put the authority of God and the Messiah in the proper persective instead of simply skimming over those references. I like the fact that there's a lot (a LOT) of verse cross-references without getting into opinionated commentary. Call me a purist, but this is about as pure as you can get in a readable version, and I love it.Many thanks to the developers of this version for their dedication and hard work. Well worth the cost, which is rather low compared to the effort that was put into the making of this Bible.God bless.

Original names of God
It is enjoyable to read the bible with the proper original names for God and not just the title of “LORD”. Hard to go back to a normal bible after reading it this way.

A linguistically very well updated King James bible!
I study my Bible using the Authorized King James text (Thompson Chain, Westminster Reference Bible, The Common Man's Reference Bible and others). When reading aloud for others however, the language comes across as very outdated. Many modern Bible versions claim that they offer updated King James Bible texts, and more often than not they are not even based on the same manuscripts of the Received Text. This KJV Bible stands out for using the proper names of Yahveh and Yahshua, but in my opinion it's primary value is it very respectful updating of archaic words, making it perfect for reading aloud in homegroups etc. So far I have only come across one single modification which raised questions in my mind, and I may very well be wrong. In conclusion I would strongly recommend the Proper Name Version of the King James Bible over modern versions like NIV, ESV and others (which I often consult for comparison).

Paper Too Thin
Great translation. Good print size. Unfortunately the paper is so thin that the printing on the other side of each page comes through making reading difficult.

Good KJV Bible but....
I have several KJV Types. And this could be THE most excellant KJV Bible with proper name version. English bibles with Lord or Jesus are good but bibles but with YAHWEH and YAHSHUA names are excellant, believers want closer to the Hebrew names. The cons are the printing and paper poor quality. Can see ghosting! Can improved this KJV bible with better thicker paper or paper quality, with maps, etcIf we pray with proper names, read scriptures with proper names from a proper englist bible ( KJV). This I say is near to perfect Englist Bible. ( OT and NT).
