Good stuff! It will not fix everything, but if it has to do with the carburetor or fuel system, this just might do the trick. Your fuel system has to be clean. This product will not dissolve dirt, sand, grass, mouse debris or remains. This isn't meant to fix the fuel, it works by getting things back in working order, from old, bad, dried up or water polluted fuel. You have to start with fresh fuel. Use REC fuel (no ethanol) whenever possible. There are a whole set of different issues caused by fuel blended with ethanol used in small engines that sit unused for extended periods. Think you need a new carb, why not give this a try. Works best on a running or running like crap small engine... Use the additive, start and RUN the engine for at least 15 or 20 minutes, and give the product time to work on the fuel system. (this product has pleasantly surprised me quite a few times) Works just as well with 2-stroke engines. The cost of this product is easily justified, unless you really enjoy replacing, removing, disassembling and cleaning every tiny passage, and replacing every "Non" metal part, of the malfunctioning carburetor. 1 or 2 ounces added per gallon of fresh fuel Just may get you back to good performance levels. Smaller package quantities are available, but Mechanic in a (BIG) Bottle has earned a place in my repair toolchest of fixes. I use it a lot on seasonal engines. Small engines that just sit around for 6 months or more, then are still expected to work when we need them. Lawnmowers, snowblowers, wood chippers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, stump grinders, leaf vacuums, log splitters, pumps, GAS air compressors, pony motors and more! NOTE: This product addresses carburetor air/fuel mix issues. It will not fix old/bad gasoline or ignition (Spark) issues, make the blades sharper, mow lines straighter, or keep the mower tires from repeatedly going flat.

Bought some of this a while ago as a last-ditch effort to help improve my lawn mower's low-speed performance. It worked far better than anything else, and exceeded my expectations. Very much recommended.

Great stuff for my old 2 cycle engines.

Get your small engine running on starter fluid and then run this stuff in gasoline for about 15 minutes. it will clean the gunk and varnish out of the carb and will be like a new carb kit.

I've used mechanic in a bottle for years to freshen up small gas engines, outboards, ATV's, etc. It does what it claims to do, but it is so darn expensive. I removed one star because does a gallon of this really need to cost 100 bucks? otherwise I do like the stuff.

This stuff works really well. Was recommended by a small equipment dealer, and is much more economical than the small bottles.

Best stuff ive ever seen for clearing up ethanol plugged small engine carbs.

Bought this based off a review from a friend of mine. I have alot of used equipment 2 stroke and gas equip that develope carbon and carburetor issues. To my surprise following directions on the product made some of them run like new, even after sitting in the work shed out back for 20 years. Easier than disassembling and cleaning, who knew just pouring something in the fuel tank could have such a difference.
