If you use fuel quickly use Mechanic In A Bottle. It keeps gaskets, seals, all carb parts clean and pliable. No more dead carbs. Use it always. Cleans fuel filters, fuel lines, injectors/or carbs. Small engines start and run better. Magic in a bottle. I would never have tried "snake oil" except for Chickanic (excellent small engine mechanic on You Tube, watch and you will become a believer) doing a couple of lessons on fuel conditioners. Now uses this and recommends Ethanol Shield for long term storage. I use this with every fill up of the vehicles and small engines. WOW - DO IT.

This stuff really works! I have a John Deere LX178 that I bought for a song. After I got it home, I started it and ran it for a few minutes and when I lowered the RPM to its lowest setting, it would NOT idle..... just die. I put the recommended amount in the gas tank and followed the instructions on the bottle. I ran it again for about 15 minutes while driving it around and though the instructions says to let it stand for around 30 minutes after shutting it down, I elected to let it sit overnight. The next day I started it up and ran it around for a few minutes then set it to low idle speed and VIOLA!!! It idled perfectly and I did NOT have to do ANY carburetor adjustment at all. Great Stuff!!

Game changer for keeping small engines starting after sitting for a few weeks. We have a bunch of lawn and garden small engines devices. This stuff is like magic. We used to seriously struggle with getting them started and now most of them start with just one or two pulls every time!!!! We use this regularly which is why we buy it by the gallon. I don't now what's in this stuff but it works. If you have fuel related issues with your car, motorcycle, lawnmower- give this a try. I have literally seen 2 motorcycle engines 'come to life' after pouring the stuff in. My sister's RAV4 after sitting for 3 years- made a comeback because of this stuff. It won't cure everything; but if your issue is fuel related; clogged injectors, sticking float bowl, varnished jets, contaminated fuel pump - give this stuff a shot. A lot cheaper and easier than removing fuel rails and fuel pumps, replacing injectors and disassembling carbs. Good luck.

Using as an additive seems to work. I've seen good reviews over other additives, time will tell.

I've used mechanic in a bottle for years to freshen up small gas engines, outboards, ATV's, etc. It does what it claims to do, but it is so darn expensive. I removed one star because does a gallon of this really need to cost 100 bucks? otherwise I do like the stuff.

Excellent product makes my scooter engine working really smooth. I recommend this product. Only to follow the right mix with gas as indicated by producer.

Bought this based off a review from a friend of mine. I have alot of used equipment 2 stroke and gas equip that develope carbon and carburetor issues. To my surprise following directions on the product made some of them run like new, even after sitting in the work shed out back for 20 years. Easier than disassembling and cleaning, who knew just pouring something in the fuel tank could have such a difference.
