Practical hands-on-information on how to play slide guitar.
This book is an informative guide which gives practical information on how to play slide guitar. It starts with simple information (how to pick a slide) and works its way from there. It doesn't dump a lot of information on you all at once, but slowly adds more complicated techniques to the knowledge base it has already produced.. Eg. it discusses single string soloing before going on to many string soloing, teaching you how to mute the overtones produced on neighboring strings. It teaches open E soloing, but then also instructs on how to play standard tuning solo. This is the most useful book on slide soloing I have found.

Very informative book
This book contains three books in one. Delta blues slide guitar, slide guitar soloing technique’s and 100 slide licks for blues guitar. Lots of information on basic slide guitar knowledge and techniques. I’ve downloaded the free audio files onto my laptop so I can listen to how each example should sound as I’m playing from the tablature and it makes it much easier to follow and achieve the correct sound. My wife bought me it as a gift, it’s great 👍🏻

Very Comprehensive
This is a very comprehensive book by a person who is really passionate about the subject. I don’t think this book is for a complete beginner, I have been playing only for just over a year now, practising approximately an hour each day and have found the opening chapter difficult to interpret into actual hand movements. I have seen that the author has recorded a number of YouTube videos but these appear to be mainly of licks and not of the rudiments. I would like to suggest he records some videos, referencing them in the book, of the real basics to help the novice interpret the techniques that are initially described e.g. muting the strings behind the slide, the strumming techniques, how adjacent strings are muted, etc. This would just make it a little easier for a beginner to use and understand. As mentioned earlier the content is very good but us novices need a little extra help to understand what is being described.

One of the better books on this style
Been playing slide for several years but hit a wall. This book has helped me improve my knowledge of scales and has given me many new licks to add to my playing. A bit slow to start with which would be good for people new to this style but as you get a bit further there are some interesting licks to keep you motivated. Make sure you download the audio files. Happy with my purchase.
