SportDOG Canvas Dummy, Orange, Puppy Size 2.25 inches x 8.5 inches

I have a Border Collie who needs jobs. One job is when we walk out to get the newspaper (300'). Until I got this nifty thing, he would take the newspaper from it's box and take it into the house, stopping on the way to chew it and shake it abit, leaving us with a shredded newspaper. I suppose he's trying to remove it from the plastic bag they put it in (we get a little rain here in the Pacific Northwest). I started having him wait until I retrieved the paper then swapped out this nifty thing, wrapped in one of the plastic bags from the paper. He loves it! Job's done! No more torn paper, though I've had to replace the plastic bag more than once. The canvas cover holds up rather well. Shows teeth marks but no punctures, tears or rips...

My 9 month old Golden Retriever decided to make a dinner out of this dummy. She managed to destroy the end. This is not meant to be a chew toy, but a retrieving dummy. I contacted the company regarding what she did. They replaced it! I really wasn’t expecting that because she destroyed it. I’ll definitely use them for future purchases.

I got this in August for young puppy. She just ripped it open and it's January. I would imagine if you are using this for field or scent training only that it would hold up just fine. I have left it around the house as a daily chew toy.

Ordered a dozen of puppy size for my 10 week old golden, and bird dog general training it’s holding up well, and is honestly one of the favorite toys, I did inject them with scent.

My dog loooooooooves this dummy. She won't retrieve anything else if I bring this. This is the ONLY one she likes. I did get the smaller version since this photo and she loves the smaller puppy version even more.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel this one is important for other pet owners. I purchased this toy for my dog, who is not an aggressive chewer or rough player, and it ripped apart during only her third time playing with it. Once it tore, the material inside started coming out everywhere—and what concerned me most was that the filling had a sand like texture. I immediately took it away and threw it out because I was worried about the risk of her ingesting it. For a product meant for pets, especially dogs who naturally chew and play, I expected much better durability and safer materials. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this toy.

Did the job at half the price of other companies

Lasted under 2 weeks. 20 pound GSP Puppy destroyed it.

The product is good, the name needs a little work. It is not Jumbo it is a small size, if I would have checked the specs I would have known that. It works perfectly for my 2 dogs (65 & 70 lbs). The price was very reasonable.
