Regatta Men's Matt MATT Breathable Waterproof Lightweight Shell Jacket With Hood Mesh Lining

Needed a jacket for a short holiday in the Scottish Highlands and didn't want anything too expensive but still did its job. This jacket was definitely waterproof but wasn't an effective wind barrier. I advise to go one size up and wear extra layers as this fits very snug. It is comfortable and true to size but it is not very warm, so it really is just a waterproof jacket. I found the quality really good and the zipper worked great. Had decent sized pockets with zips and a hood that could be folded away in the neckline. Was also great for packing into a small travel bag. For the price, it was great value. It looks smart too and would be great for any outdoor activity.

A very good waterproof, mid length wind cheater jacket, exceptional value for the money. Well made, the 5XL is nice and roomy on me (I’m a robust 6ft. 1” tall man approx. 140kg), I can comfortably wear 2 layers under in the recent perishing winter weather (thick shirt/rugby shirt and chunky jumper!)

Bought this for a cheap and cheerful waterproof jacket that could be chucked in a bag or car for the rainy days and it’s very good in that capacity. The jacket looks smart, is roomy and feels like a quality item; zips are good, seams sealed and the hood is intrusive when packed in the collar. BUT, (and this is just something to be aware of if you are going to be wearing this when working up any kind of sweat) it’s not breathable. At all! It will keep the rain out and the sweat in until it’s dripping from your sleeves if you use it like you’d use a breathable jacket. FWIW, I don’t see this as a fault of the jacket, just a lesson learnt for me to make sure I buy the breathable version for exertions.

Excellent quality and price!

The jacket looks smart and the sizing is correct. It is waterproof and the hood is a good size when taken out of the collar. On a cool day the wearer will sweat so much that the clothes underneath will stick to the skin and you will feel drops streaming down your arms. After 30 minutes it’s uncomfortable and embarrassing to remove the jacket to expose the soaked shirt, arms and back. I haven’t tried it in extreme cold yet, but for a UK autumn it just doesn’t work. It’s worth paying more for a garment which wicks moisture from the body which is why Goretex is so good.

I was looking for a light rain jacket & i wasint sure what to buy on Amazon so i went for this one & glad i did it is light & it is stylish & glad now that i bought it. I wore it today as it was raining & i felt good in it. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smart light rain jacked. It also has a nice lining & pockets including an inside pocket . Well pleased & i nearly forgot the price was affordable . Happy customer.

A reliable name, which certainly keeps the rain out, and is wind proof " "although a question mark as regards breathability "...in humid conditions, internal perspiration is a problem if worn for extended periods. Sleeves longish for short tubby people, but easy to compensate with the velcro cuffs. Stylish design, can fold up when not required, ideal for British weather, reliable seller to be recommended.

Ho comprato questa giacca come regalo per mio padre. Abitando in campagna spesso lavoriamo all'esterno in qualsiasi condizione meteorologica e una giacca impermeabile è un must. Molto spesso la uso anche io, è comoda, leggera ma resistente, si pulisce con molta facilità e soprattutto non lascia entrare una goccia d'acqua, fa il suo lavoro alla perfezione. Ah, è anche molto caruccia, quindi va benissimo per una passeggiata in giro col cane in una giornata buia e uggiosa.

Conforme à mes attentes . Veste légère , respirante et bien coupée . Imperméable même si ça ne durera pas(ce n'est pas un ciré) .Idéal demie saison et toute l'année en régions tempérées. Polyvalente loisir/ville .

Compre una chaqueta de talla XL en agosto. Después de leer las opiniones, esperaba una prenda de mayor calidad que la recibida. Al probarmela me dió la impresión de tener puesto un mantel de hule o cortina de baño, por la sensación que experimente, la rigidez y el sonido que se producía al flexionar el brazo o con el de la manga y el cuerpo de la chaqueta. El tallaje, de mangas largo y de cuerpo justo. Con un jersey me quedaría apretado, aunque no creo que me pusiera ninguna prenda sobre la camiseta con la que me la probé, ya que, al quitarmela y con sólo con una puesta de prueba, sentí humedad en el brazo ya que parece que la transpiración es nula. Así que probar y devolver, a pesar del buen precio con el que la compre.

Me compré esta chaqueta porque antes me había comprado otra similar, de la misma marca, pero el modelo Ardmore (muy similar, pero en color liso... sin logotipo). Ambas chaquetas son muy similares, pero diría que la Ardmore tiene un tejido más "duro", más fuerte, y quizá aisle algo más en cuanto a viento (quizá sea solo una percepción). También creo que la Ardmore puede ser un pelín más grande que ésta (Matt). En general, Regatta talla grande, al estilo de las marcas internacionales, pero en esta chaqueta Matt no es algo tan "evidente" como en otros modelos. Por lo demás, dejando a un lado la comparación con la Ardmore, se trata de una chaqueta que no creo que a nadie decepcione. No es un simple chubasquero o cortavientos fino, sino que aísla bastante del viento y te protege contra temperaturas "moderadas" (no es una prenda de invierno propiamente). La calidad y materiales es buena, en cuanto a cremalleras, forro de rejilla, bolsillos con cremalleras, capucha oculta y ajustable, costuras, etc. Por supuesto es muy impermeable, que al final es lo fundamental, porque te permite estar bastante tiempo bajo la lluvia; no como otras prendas que te protegen solo para un ratito o si caen cuatro gotas.
