What size is "pistols", "rifles" and "smcal"?

So how do you clean this thing? Toss it in the washer like a boresnake?

I'll probably hand wash mine with detergent and let it air dry. The product info says don't put it in a washer or dishwasher (!?!!) because of harmful lead particles, etc. I don't want it in my washing machine.

Would the 17hmr work for the 22lr

Likely would fit through the bore but probably would not do a very good job scrubbing it out properly. Action is dependent on pulling through in direction of rifling along with proper pressure. I would definitely go on and invest in one designed for .22 caliber. They do work very well.

First time gun owner

Does what it's meant to, mop up any bits and remnants. Use your bore brush and clp and pull it through a few times, and then drag this through to function as the mop. Doesn't leave any lint behind. Perfectly clean barrel. Always use good quality ammo too of course.
