They are actually D.C. devices
I am so sick and tired of buying these Chinese LED's that claim to be D.C. devices, only to have them fail due to the internal A.C. Bucking unit inside. And some of my lighting is 17' up in the air, so changing them out is a real PITA. Now anyone who has bought outdoor LED lighting already knows that the wattage specs are Always suspect, and while these units are no exception, they will consume 20 watts, if given a higher voltage. At 12.01 volts D.C., they consume 1.334 Amps, which is about 16 watts. And that 16 watts puts out a hell of a lot of bright light. They'll start to fire at 7 volts, and draw 1.675 amps at 13.00 Volts D.C., which is about 21.77 watts. Heat always being the enemy, the 12 volt level will live longer. Also, these units are fairly liberal with the real estate. The LED units with the elements being placed contiguously, or like the 9 LED's potted together the size of a quarter, are the ones that always experience a premature failure. I have units here with 80 discrete (non-SMD) LED's still functioning now for 8 years.I'll be ordering some more of these units, but probably the 10 watt units, as these 20 watt units vastly exceeded my expectations. I'm off-grid here with a 3Kw 52Kwh PV system, so even the little lighting loads do add up. Highly recommended .. 5 Stars.

Good but not 50 W.
I think these are pretty good but not 50 Watt. As measured, more like 35 Watt. But for some reason, this seems to go with LED lamps from China in general. Not a problem for American branded lamps.

Didn't know what to expect
I purchased this 50w light after 1st buying a 100w light then looking at videos &was thinking it would be too big plus probably120v . But this 50w arrived 1st and its huge, too for what i was needing. Its ok on brightness, but looking at the size you would think it could light up the moon or mars.but it can't.

Good light for a 12 volt LED and bright
Well built case, Bracket could be heavier duty but still works.Good light for a 12 volt LED and bright.Would be nice if pigtail was a little bit longer .All in All very satisfied.

I do not understand the product description.
I am stumped on the product description after buying 4 of these and mounting them. I didn't fully wire them after seeing the + & - signs on the wires. The product description reads "DC 12V for Power or Battery, low voltage, Great for Battery Work light, Spotlight, Solar powered , Car Boat Lamp DIY. If use it to 110v AC voltage, a 12v transformer needed" I read and read and do not see a clear answer. I had originally searched AMAZON for " 12 VAC Low Voltage Outdoor Flood Lights" when these came up I glanced at the description and ordered them. However, when I mounted them and saw the + & - signs on the wires I paused because in 12v low voltage AC there is no + & - from the 12 VAC transformer. I also know that if they are DC and you hook up DC lights to a 12 V AC transformer the lights will flicker. As far as I know they can't be both AC and DC. So which is it? Are these lights the same as regular 12v low voltage landscape lights or are they DC and made to run from batteries or DC current made from a different kind of transformer that converts AC to DC. I am getting frustrated trying to read and find the answer. This should be a clear cut question and answer.

PERFECT FIT
Installed to my garage door opener box and mounted one to each side on the vertical slotted hanger. Works perfect and love the color of the bright white. Easy to install and rigid materials.

Happy here, Bright and low amp draw.
Extremely happy with these. Nice and bright upgrade for my work van (ambulance) minimal modification needed. Old lights where dim and had a huge amp draw. These are 10 times brighter and draw far less amps. Will be buying more.

Brackets are flimsy
I’m fairly happy with the output of the lights (50w 12v) however the mounting brackets are very flimsy and all the hardware nuts and bolts are corroding already after 2 weeks and 3 uses. The resistance to weather is in my case anyway extremely poor. The cases to the light itself are covered in corrosion and they aren’t even a month old yet. They do have a fairly even flood pattern and are fairly bright for being 50w. I wish they made 100-150w 12v and beefed up the mounting hardware and made the casing more resistant to corrosion....

Exactly what it says on the tin and works wonderfully
I got 2 of these, 20W model, to build a light for my patio. The main plan is to use a NodeMCU, large battery, and solar charger to make it off-grid, but for now I have it plugged into mains voltage via a 2A 12V wall wart, and my review is based on this configuration.Pros* Extremely bright. I was debating between the 20W and 50W versions to light up my patio for night board gaming, and I'm glad I went with the 20W. The light output is phenomenal, and just one lights up the table more than well enough to see the small, detailed text on card or board games. I don't think I'll need the second one except as a backup.* Very nice angle of incidence. They fully illuminate below the lamp with a fairly tight beam angle. Having them pointed almost straight down, the full width of the beam along the short plane at about 2.5m height is only about 5-6m, which is excellent for a small area light. Angling it up, I'm able to illuminate a fairly large area while still avoiding a blinding beam hitting my back neighbour's living room window. This means you'll need several to flood a large area, but for my purposes this fits very nicely.* Low-voltage operation provides major flexibiity. Being 12V, 20W (so about 1.8A), it's very easy to run these off of a deep-cycle battery, or a 2A 12V wall wart (I used one from an old D-Link router). Not requiring mains electricity as an option is fantastic for making a portable or off-the-grid light.Cons* High glare. This thing is *bright*, and with nothing but a clear pane of glass between you and the diodes, looking at it is painful. People probably will not like it if you angle it into their eyes even just a little bit. Sitting under a near-horizontal installation isn't bad though, as long as you don't look up at it.* Strange colour temperature. This light is *very* blue and "harsh" to a lot of people, even compared to LED streetlights or car headlamps. I don't care personally, but having a slightly-yellow or slightly-pink cover would probably help improve the colour temperature of these LEDs significantly.Overall, I'll give these a 5 even with the cons, since neither of them is a deal-breaker for my personal usecase. i've used the one I built onto a pole a total of 4 times now for a few hours at a time, both to illuminate outdoor game sessions as well as illuminate my yard while I did some nighttime yard work, and it works wonderfully. I'd strongly recommend these if you need something like this, and would only recommend some sort of diffusior if you find you really need it due to the angle or colour temperature issues.

Thankfully I realize "lumens" is really a matter of prospective!
4500 lumens - no way. I have a single LED 30w / 2800 lumen light from another manufacturer and even though it is more yellow in colour and lower performance ratings - it is brighter and smaller and better built. This light is massive, and built very cheap compared to my other. I have little confidence that this item will last 4 years like my other one has so far. It has been said that multiple LED's are better than 1, I can't say that is accurate in my experience now. I guess I'm not surprised at the quality and performance of this light, although it was only 2/3 more cost and I got 2 instead of one of the other style. So when this one fails (which I'm sure it will) I'll have a second. For all you other shoppers, I recommend you buy the 30w, single LED type that is also available on Amazon, although at this point I will not return this light as it's already installed and the price was not horrible.

Rated for outdoor specification
I bought a pair product looks excellent tough material used also powder coated. Brightness is perfect 10W is more than enough for covering main door. I added $10 worth of sensor (dusk to dawn) and connected to 12v solar panel. It made me happy with its results.I'm only waiting to see overall performance in winter. Hope its truly perform as it says.I recommend this product at fair priced.

Nice!
These work really well and installed easily. And they seem to be well-made. I have them hooked up to a 12 V battery with a motion sensor charged by a solar panel.
