How long does it take to heat up and generate heat? Looking to put on motion light for an open dog kennel.

It heats up right away. But we use it in our garage where we have a dog house for her. I don't know how well it would work in an open space.

What is the frequency emitted? Is this actual infrared or just red glass?

I didn’t see a uv frequency chart for this bulb, but you may be able to compare it to another light with the same lens color. I would imagine it’s somewhere between 625 and 675. I hope that helps.
