I had not used emulsions before, but I did for a themed cookie swap. Red velvet thumbprint cookies, and they were a huge hit. The taste was amazing. The cookies came out of the oven looking fabulous. I was so impressed that I bought another set for my son for Christmas since he is a huge cookie baking person. He used them and is impressed as well, and trust me, he is very seasoned in making cookies.

I bought this LorAnn bakery emulsion set because I wanted a variety of flavours to use across different baking projects. So far, I used the strawberry in a batch of cupcakes, and they were very well loved. The flavour came through nicely after baking and gave the cupcakes a more finished, bakery-style taste without being overpowering. It mixed easily into the batter and did not seem to affect the texture of the cupcakes. The cupcakes baked up well, with a nice colour and finish. A little goes a long way, so I would recommend starting with a small amount and adjusting depending on how strong you want the flavour to be. I also like having different flavour options in one set, especially for cupcakes, cakes, buttercream, and fillings. The Lemon and Butter Vanilla are also great additions especially to buttercream. Overall, this is a useful set for anyone who bakes often and wants to experiment with different flavours. Based on the strawberry alone, I am happy with the purchase and would buy again.

Edit: After trying the emulsion in one of my cakes out of desperation for flavor I used it. Just let me say, you can't just base it on smell and taste right out of the bottle. My apologies for judging before using. I'm also updating my stars. Sweet baby Jesus where do I begin? The almond is horrible. I put a bit on my tongue to taste it and my tongue went NUMB!!! I opened all 6 to smell and taste and they are all absolutely horrible!!! They also contain Red 40 and Blue 1 which has been linked to health hazards. I literally wasted 37.00 as it's a food product and can't be returned. Do not purchase any of these!!! I recommend Cake Cake Cake Etc or pkbakes for all your flavoring needs.

Have tried them in frosting for cupcakes. The taste is amazing. Hope to use them all up before they expire. Will buy again.

These Lorann Oils bakery emulsions are fabulous—each flavor is rich, true, and adds a wonderful depth to cakes, cookies, and desserts. They mix in smoothly and give baked goods a more vibrant taste compared to traditional extracts. I love the variety in this set, and the quality is excellent. Gluten-free and keto-friendly is a bonus. A baking essential I’ll definitely keep stocked!

Strong flavours. Love the cookie butter and maples. Bought this set for the cheekcake. Like the pumpkin spice too. Tossed the red velvet because of the colouring.

I regularly make biscotti, and purchased these as an alternative to the Watkins product I've used in the past. When I found a six pack of flavours that fit what I was interested in, it was an easy purchase decision. When I'm baking, I use 2 tsp of flavouring extract per batch of biscotti, and by my calculations I should be able to get 11 batches of biscotti from each bottle. So far I've only done one batch using the blueberry flavour extract. It's quite dense, and you do need to shake the bottle vigorously before using it. The colour is quite bold and actually turned the biscotti dough a dark bluish purple. Go figure... bluish purpose for blueberry flavouring... almost like it was made from real berries or something. :-) I'm joking of course. Yes, the colour of the extracts is quite bold, so if what you bake needs to be un-tinted, these may not be a good option for you. I can say that as soon as you open the bottle, you can smell the essence of the flavour you're working with, and that flavour remains through the baking process. My biscotti taste like blueberry. Yes, I certainly and without hesitation recommend these flavourings. Its the first time I've used LorAnn products, but I now know it certainly won't be my last.

Have only tried a few flavours so far. With the banana flavour had to put my ice cream away. I wanted to eat the whole pint. The smell and taste are fantastic.

Bought as a gift and she is really happy with the quality and the flavor is strong which is a baking positive

couldn't find the orange oil in my local store so thought i would try the emulsions. they are very good and true to flavor but I still prefer the oils for certain items. their oils are the absolute best!
