KidKraft Adventure Bound™: Wooden Pirate Ship Play Set with Lights and Sounds, Pirate Figures, 8 Pieces Included, Gift for Ages 3+

It took me about 30 minutes to assemble this ship, the only complaint I have, is that the mast isn't the most secure. The flags that help hold it in place are a little loose. That being said, this thing is durable and high quality. I purchased this for my son, and he absolutely loves it. He plays with it a little bit each day, and although I probably purchased it a bit early (he is almost 2 years old at the time of this review) he loves pirates and pirate ships, so I didn't want to miss window to maximize his interest in the toy. I'm sure that he will have many years of enjoyment out of this, and there is even the potential for it be stored downstairs, (forgotten about) for a time, then we go dig it out of the basement and it's like a whole new experience as a 4 or 5 year-old. Either way, great, durable product well worth the small investment of assembly.

This was fairly easy to assemble with the instructions and critical thinking. It is quite impressive looking and I was very impressed with the quality. My grandson absolutely loved it and has it proudly displayed when not playing with it. I absolutely recommend this item!

My four year old grandson discovered this pirate ship at the local library and he loved playing with it, thus a Christmas present. While the ship comes completely unassembled, the instructions are easy enough to follow and is not very difficult to assemble if you take your time. Prior to purchasing this ship I noted that several Amazon reviewers commented on missing or broken pieces upon arrival. I asked previous purchasers if they experienced any difficulty in obtaining replacement parts for the missing or broken pieces, but after several days there were no responses. My order arrived with all pieces accounted for, but the ship's steering wheel had been broken in shipping. I followed the KidKraft instructions to remedy such a situation, entered the website provided, filled out the relevant information and submitted the request for a replacement part. Very happily four days later the new part was at my door. The ship seems sturdy enough and well made, customer service was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend this purchase to anyone interested.

The pirate ship was bigger than I thought it would be and I bought some treasure chests with jewels and deblumes to go with it. The ship came with a cannon that shoots and a tiny treasure chest that lights up. It did take some time to put it together - my engineer son-in-law and his 11 year old son spent some time doing it. I'm glad I didn't have to. We sat the ship on a little table with blue silks for water. It was the best gift ever! I bought it on black Friday so saved some $$. They had just come to Michigan this summer from the west coast, and we went to Mackinac Island, where there was a real (that floated and went to the island) pirate ship, and some props on the dock with treasure chest, photo ops, etc. so he was all pumped up about that. I'm thinking this would be a good gift for kids interested in pirates, but maybe not just a general gift. It is large and takes up some space with other toys. I liked it way better than I thought I would.

Very darling pirate ship. Even though it is wood, it isn't that heavy which is great. This took my husband and I working together about an hour to assemble. I took off a star because there are two issues with the construction and the instructions. First, the small screws that hold the sails in place on the mast are not indicated on the instruction book, pretty easy to see where they go, though. Second is a bigger issue--the front upper deck is to be held in place using 4 "B" screws. These screws slide right in and can be seen through some random holes in the deck. And they fall right out. Now we need to somehow come up with four screws that are tight enough and the right length to hold the upper deck in place. Hopefully someone will have some ideas for us to try. Otherwise, it is darling and I know our 3.5 year old grandson will be wow'd Christmas morning.

I bought a bunch of pirate stuff, extra pirates little figurines, big pirate ships, little ships, pirate patches and accessories for the kids and we had pirate day. The boys LOVED THE SHIP!! Well made, and perfect for 2 three year olds with some supervision. Fun! Fun!

My son kept asking for a pirate ship for Christmas and this one met all the requirements! Easy to put together, sturdy, and so adorable. My 4 years old loves it!!

Received as said in the spec without any missing pieces. Will recommend for the future buyers.
