There's literally a recipe or use for anytime of day. Granted a lot of this info you can find all over the web but why would you want to search everywhere and discern what is fact, or opinion, or search at all when you could get all the info in one place. Great read and who knew?!
I love this book, I read it from cover to cover in about an hour while skimming over the recipes. The author provides a lot of information but it is done no only in an outstanding way, it is extremely interesting as well. I learned a lot of information from this book and was having a hard time putting it down. Background on Apple Cider Vinegar. Recipes for Therapeutic Treatments, Natural Cosmetics and Food/Drink.
This book started with the history of apple cider vinegar and then moved on to recipes. The recipes were for food, drink, therapeutic treatments and natural cosmetics. I liked learning a little about the history of apple cider vinegar with such stories as the one told about Cleopatra and Marc Antony. It was also nice how quick the book moved on to how to make apple cider vinegar and how it had a table of remedies that included a cure for acne. An interesting fact I learned from the book was that apple cider vinegar can help with morning sickness. Also, I thought it was strange but cool about the "mother" and vinegar eels that are necessary to aid the apple cider fermentation process. I think it's great that the author included some vinegar precautions that I should be careful of. Also, I had been looking for ways to make my body more alkaline so I was pleased to learn from this book that taking in apple cider vinegar can help with that. Another interesting fact was that you can boil your tap water and that will help rid it of fluoride and hard minerals. Lastly, about the book layout itself, I liked how the edges of each page was colored to help delineate where each chapter was and also how it had pictures. I just wish it had a picture for each recipe. Overall, this is a good book for amateurs who want to begin making or using apple cider vinegar in their homes. Vinegar is not only useful for cooking, it’s useful for health purposes, cleaning, garden care, hygiene, and much more. In fact, a jug of vinegar is easily one of the most economical and versatile remedies around. Apple cider vinegar contains potassium and enzymes to help banish fatigue. Plus, its amino acids may help prevent the buildup of lactic acid in your body, further preventing fatigue. Who knew apple cider vinegar had so many uses? Madeline Given did! Learn something new
I use vinegar to clean my house, but really was clueless to the seemingly endless list of things apple cider vinegar can do for your life! I received this Apple Cider Vinegar Cure book in exchange for my honest opinion. This book is well-laid out and explains the many health and life benefits of apple cider vinegar. I particularly found the section on skin care useful and how the application of apple cider vinegar to bug bites and sunburn can help "pull out" the sting and heal more quickly. Being of incredibly pale skin and apparently very delicious to bugs, I am looking forward to trying this out next summer. The book has a ton of recipes using apple cider vinegar in your everyday life from cooking to cleaning, self care to gardening. Considering how inexpensive a jug of apple cider vinegar is these days, I can see this being a super way to save money in your life while getting even better benefits than you did with your old way of doing things. I have been using this in my laundry as an alternative to fabric softener and enjoy that my clothes are super soft without the chemical backlash.

Very informative, easy to read, many great recipes!
My husband has ulcerative colitis, and I am always researching natural ways to help him feel better and achieve remission. I keep reading about fermented foods and in particular apple cider. It is a recurring topic on many websites as very helpful. This book is a great guide on how to start. I am a complete newbie when it comes to making fermented foods and this book was very easy to follow and laid out well. The first few chapters are dedicated to discussing the benefits of vinegar and the exact process and how to make your own vinegar at home. It requires almost no investment and you may have everything in your house already. You only need organic apples, organic raw honey and distilled water. Equipment needed: a clean glass jar, a cotton cloth and a rubber band. The rest of the book is basically a recipe book, all the recipes containing apple cider. It is a variety of very delicious healthy recipes, ranging from smoothies and breakfast foods to entrees and desserts. I was very impressed by this book. I received this book free in order to share my honest and unbiased opinion.
