EGO POWER+ Portable Power Station, 3000W, Battery Powered, Inverter Generator for Home and Outdoor, Battery and Charger Not Included - PST3040

We purchase the package that included 2 7.5 amp your batteries. We added 2 5.0 amp hour batteries used with our other EGO power tools for a total of 25 amp hours of power. It is our back-up for use in short power outages. This will allow us to run a lamp, small heater (or fan) and intermittently power our refrigerator and upright freezer. Our future plans are to add 2 10 amp hour batteries and solar panels to take us through longer outages.

It is a fast charger and power back up whats not to like? We keep it ready to go if we have a power loss, with an added bonus of keeping our batteries charged for our other EGO tools. It is heavy, even with max sized batteries it doesn't have enough power to run your refrigerator. BUT it will run a lot of other household items. We keep a gas generator for longer term blackouts and to run the fridge if we're out more than a day.

Let me start by saying I own tons of ego products and I’m a fan of the brand in general. This power station does deliver power as intended but has some drawbacks. 1. The inability to solar charge without buying an adapter is unacceptable when almost every other station has it at this point 2. If you only have smaller batteries to attach the station is very expensive on its on to not have a large amount of power 3. The cost for station alone is very high considering most stations already come with a built in battery. It would have been cool to see ego give this thing an internal battery with the ability to add the additional batteries to it. Overall it is a cool product and makes use of the existing batteries you may already have but would not be worth it if you are not totally invested in the ego line up already.

The Bluetooth features don’t work on this device at all, so you can’t use your phone to see the usage or when a battery is getting low or anything like that. The manufacturer basically broke the app so the wireless functionality no longer works and they said they are not going to ever update it or fix it. The price on this thing is ridiculous too because I bought a DJI 1 kW battery pack with the batteries inside and it can do the same thing this can and all of the wireless functionality works. I guess if you’ve got money to burn and some extra ego batteries, you could use this while looking at the display only. The solar feature only charges at 180W for an extra $200 adapter and my DJI can charge solar at 450W with a $60 adapter can I can plug ego chargers into that to charge my ego batteries. Did I mention that this thing weighs about the same as my DJI with the batteries in it? Honestly, they couldn’t pay me to use this, so went, went back.

Why would you purchase this? You have power tools that aren’t cordless and you’re using them away from power. You throw tailgating parties You have extra batteries and you want back up power just in case You like to camp but due to health reasons need power to sleep (note ego put a disclaimer on this and wants no liability for life support failed) I’m going to assume you have ego products already because they are the overall best products out there. This is what you do with the extra batteries. First off... gotta love the bidding war on amazon. This is currently 760 with shipping. Bare is 655. This is a 1200 tool... so, now is the time to purchase. This comes with two 7.5amp 5 bar power indicators, and upgrade long awaited for. The transformer and cord are stored on top of the generator. The generator will charge 4 batteries (goodbye slow chargers, you have been consolidated) and the screen shows how many bars each battery has. Love it. It also shows how long until charging is complete for all batteries. It charges by rotating between all of them... so my two dead 7.5 and two slightly used 5 amp will all be done charging in 9 hours. If you need emergency charging, keeping a rapid charge available will be good. For my uses, more than 4 batteries is overkill so the slow speed works. Installation consists of installing two rain covers for the vent, and plugging in cords. The plugs ports are 4 usb and 3 standard USA plugs. The covers spring up with a push of a button. It looks like you push a button to activate them. The batteries slip on to the sides. Two on each side. When running, the indicator identifies time on batteries. I recommend googling video reviews. The two review sites I prefer both have testing and reviews up. I’ll update as I play with this. One thing this won’t do is supply power while charging. Bummer. This my spoil the tool for some. Another question I see has to do with sine waves. I know nothing about that other than the answer is yes this is clean power “pure sine wave” per other reviews and will work for electronics. While it states 3000w, it’s 3000w surge and 2000watt normal with a 7.5amp battery. 1200w with 5amp and 600w with 2-2.5amp. If I read the review site right, you just need batteries to build up to the amps... so 4 2.5 gets you past the 7.5amp. I love it and the price war brought it down to a price I’ll purchase. I may even add more at the current prices. If you review against alternatives, the current price wars have made this a no brainer back up solution (assuming no power when charging isnt an issue). When the price wars are done, the price makes other solutions potentially better, but you can also use batteries to mow the lawn. Online sources for videos and detailed reviews: Kite army and protool review. I use them frequently before purchases as well as other sources. Conclusion: if you have ego tools and have a need, this is a no brainer, particularly at current amazon price points. 760 all in is ridiculous.

I recommend this if you have the ego eco system at home. My power went out and was able to keep my fridge charge through the night. Life saver

Le fait de choisir le type ( ampère) de la batterie et le Nombre de batterie de 1 à 4 batteries l’appareil devient évolutif avec vos besoins. Je l’utilise avec 3 batteries de 7.5 ampères pour fournir le 120 v à toute la maison j’ai une autonomie de plus ou moins 3:30 h Mise à jour août 2025 après quelques mois utiliser pour les pannes électriques, je m’aperçois que le système nexus d’ EGO est fiable et pratique cependant il est techniquement désuet comparé à la compétition je voulais installer des panneaux solaires pour la recharge des batteries le jour et alimenter la maison durant les pannes électriques. Impossible à faire Nexus Utilise une technologie désuette quoique fiables. Résultat le coût $$$ pour la recherche solaire ne vos Pas la peine.

Compré el centro de carga como apoyo a mi trabajo desde casa. Adquirí por separado las baterias, y la inversión ha valido la pena cuando las reparaciones para restablecer la energía eléctrica tardan más de 8 horas. Lo recomiedo con el uso de varias baterias.

El producto se ve bien, aunque no puedo probarlo porque en México no se comercializan las baterías de 10ah, y las que venden son de 2.5ah y 5ah a un super precio vs el respaldo que te proporcionan, esto no es funcional.
