We spent months measuring, diagramming and reading the specs on this kit before ordering a custom cabinet designed to fit the trim kit. In the US, a 24" cabinet is 24" in the outer dimension. This kit MAY fit if the INNER dimension is 24". We spent thousands of dollars on a cabinet as part of an entire kitchen remodel and months in researching and even CALLING Panasonic tech support who could only read off what we can read ourselves. They ASSURED us it would fit a 24" cabinet. They were of no help and could not actually measure anything for us or clarify the sometimes unclear documentation. We ended up squeezing the microwave right up against the cabinet wall without clearance on the right side. Maybe this kit was meant for european cabinets, I am not sure, but it was a fricken nightmare for us in the US. If we had the space, I would have put in a newer style microwave intended for cabinet mounting rather than this nightmare, but we didn't have that kind of luxury. Very disappointed in Panasonic, their documentation and their tech support. These trim kits are expensive for what they offer, so the selling point is the custom fit - which it doesn't satisfy.

I got this trim kit (and the microwave it goes to, obviously) after my old in-wall unit died. This one expects an opening with very precise dimensions and doesn’t give much room for error. I had to shrink the existing hole in my cabinet before I could install, unless I wanted to live with gaps. Now that it’s in, it does look good. If you’re building fresh, do yourself a favor and just make an opening the size they expect.

The Panasonic trim kit (which I bought used on Amazon) was well packaged and included all the parts with no damage. However, I knew the 24 inch trim was not going to work for me so I also bought this kit. Cosmo COS-30BIMTK 30 in. Stainless Steel Microwave Oven Built-In Trim Kit... which worked better even though it was intended for a wider oven. I used left over trim from the cabinets to hide the openings and it looks ok. It would be nice if Panasonic offered this trim plate.

Very attractive trim. Fits perfectly and was very easy to install.

I had to do some remodeling of the kitchen cabinet opening to make this work, but the result is great. Very nice looking.

The frame and associated parts were easy to install and looks great. Only issue was the amount of time it took to get this in.
