Murder, She Wrote: Season 9

I can't find anything not to like about the "Murder, She Wrote" TV series. These episodes from the 9th year were just as good as all the others.

Season nine is filled with the usual suspicious characters, some are repeat actors in different roles, looking and acting the same. I found that confusing, especially when they died in a previous episode. It’s not as if there has ever been a shortage of actors that they needed to keep reusing the same ones.Jessica Fletcher (Angela Lansbury) spent more time away from home in this season. The downside to this was seeing less of William Windom (Dr. Seth Hazlitt). She should have taken him with her, he makes a great sidekick.

Received DVDs in a timely fashion - within a week. DVDs and box were in very good shape.

This delightful TV series came out in the 1980s and can still be seen in reruns today. The marvelous Angela Lansbury plays Jessica Fletcher, small town Mainer and mystery novelist, (who becomes a bit more sophisticated as the series continues). Ms. Lansbury's performance never varies - it's always excellent - as she takes her warm and appealing character through solving one murder mystery after another. Why buy the DVDs when you can watch the show in reruns on TV? because you can tune in any time you want - and not have to watch a single commercial. Highly recommend the entire series or any portion thereof.

There was only ONE disc (Disc 5) in this package. The cover reads "Season Nine" and there are 5 discs in this set, but the package I received only had ONE disc (Disc 5). This is a total Rip-off!

Love it and will continue to get more series.

My grandmother loved this movie

An episode or two calms me and is most interesting. I love the episodes of Murder She Wrote. I never am bored with them!! Such excellent writing and producing!

I thoroughly enjoy this series of programmes - not just for the 'who done it'? storylines but also to see all the actors and actresses that we used to see on TV years ago. It always amuses me to see an actor appearing in several episodes but taking the part of different characters - Bradford Dillman being one of them - one of my favourite actors - sometimes playing a baddie and other times not!!I also love to see Angela Lansbury's wardrobe - she wore some lovely clothes - ones which I would be very happy to wear - even now. Not sure what that says about my fashion sense in this day and age!

You just can't beat Jessica Fletcher....another season of the classic murder mystery amateur sleuth as she is, as always, followed by murder wherever she goes, and yet again she shows the law up time and time again by solving each and every case! What a woman!!! :)OK, so it is unlucky for anyone counting themselves as a friend of Mrs Fletcher, but if all you want to do is relax with a cuppa and enjoy an afternoon of back-to-back episodes, you can't go wrong.The formidable Dame Angela Lansbury is as wonderful as ever...

Fabulous. I don't remember seeing this later series here in the U.K. It's real fun spotting the clues in these whodunits and working out who the murderer is. They must be very honest people in Cabot Cove (or whatever location Jessica Fletcher visits) because when the guilty party is caught by the cops at the end of every episode they always own up straight away and tell them why they did it. Mrs Fletcher also tells them exactly how she solved the mystery. This may not be a subtle show, but it is vastly entertaining.

Jessica continues to encounter murders/ suspense, and mystery. The stories are as fresh as series 1. Still enjoying this series.

Me and my brother bought all of murder she wrote for our mother who liked the show and Angela Landsbury. She was watch it on one the channels on tv but they were all over the place so I said that me and my brother would get them for her birthday Christmas and mothers day.
