Roland Foods Nacho Sliced Jalapeno Peppers, Specialty Imported Food, 1 Gallon, Pack of 1

I would consider myself a picky pepper eater....say that 5 times fast. I have found over the years that the best store bought jalapeno peppers were made by Vlasic with Trappey's getting an honorable mention. After reading all the negative comments about the odd smell and taste of this product I was really hesitant to take a gamble on such a large volume of sliced peppers but after a failed Amazon delivery of a case of Vlasic 12oz jars due to breakage I decided to give them a try. Pleasantly surprised would be my reaction. I found these slices just a shade LESS crunchy than the Vlasic brand but still head and shoulders above La Costena and Mt Olive's mushy product. Taste was very good, heat was low to moderate (but then again I grow Habanero peppers most summers to dehydrate and process into flakes for sprinkling) I noticed NO unusual odor and yes this is a large plastic jar that needs to be refrigerated after opening but I put the large jug in the back of the frig and fill another smaller sealable glass jar that I keep in the door as needed. I did notice there are more broken pieces of pepper slices in this product than Vlasic or Trappey but for the price and volume not a deal breaker.

I love these peppers and very good deal if you do subscribe and save, compared to the expensive brands they do taste different not as high quality but you get used to them, I put em on just about everything and very cheap price and the empty jar as you know can be used for various outdoor projects, saving you a ton on buying a trap, for sure a bonus.

These are awful. They taste like straight vinegar and have absolutely no crunch. Honestly a waste of money I tried to salvage them and ended up throwing the whole thing away. The container was large and had a handle honestly the container was the best part. Which is sad. They didn’t seem fresh at all they are soggy and couldn’t tell how hot they were because all you taste is vinegar.

These are not as spicy as other brands I have tried. But... if you are making something for a lot of people this might be the way to go. It also doesn't seem to have the flavor of other brands I have tried. I think these would be good for recipes that call for jalapenos as an outlying ingredient. For a gallon of jalapeno slices, this is a good deal. In the end, I wish they had more flavor and more heat. As you can see in the photos, it did not come with a label attached. I'm sure this isn't normal, but that doesn't mean I don't want to have a nutrition label and an ingredient list. The day after I bought this, it was listed as "unavailable" so I am guessing this was one of the last ones they had in stock. It does have a cute little handle that you can carry it around with if you want to take it for a walk lol. There is a plastic screen over the jalapenos that you have to remove to get to them. In the end, these are a good deal if you have a lot of people to feed. This is an economical option to have jalapeno slices available as a side for a main dish. I think next time I would buy a brand I knew was better tasting and spicier. These aren't bad, but they just aren't the best. 4 ⭐

I've been ordering these for a few years now. The quality and price/size cannot be matched. Anytime I want to stock up on my jalapenos I order these. 🔥🔥🔥

great product, good quality and taste. It's just me and my husband, but we love jalapenos and eat a lot of them. Peppers like this are great for digestion. It's a huge jar, but they won't go bad even sitting in a pantry because they are pickles, so I just fill up a smaller container from the big one and keep that in the fridge.

I hesitated to buy this product because I didn't know what to expect on flavor and quality, but I decided to go ahead because the price was excellent. On arrival I realized there was no way the container would fit in my refrigerator, so I decanted the entire container into an array of ball jars and snap ware. Flavor-wise these are slightly different to the supermarket brands I'm used to, like Mt. Olive. I don't consider the flavor bad, just different. Texture is fine, and hotness is equivalent to store brands. I'm not sure I'd buy again simply because of the quantity - I'm not sure how well they will keep over the time it'll take me to eat them. On the plus side, I don't need to worry about running out any time soon!
